Thread "New person, hi" in forum "Meet, Greet, Show and Sell*"

Hello, I am new here. I made an account because a friend of mine wants me to be the artist behind his ideas and make a comic out of it. Its too bad for him since I suck at drawing, sketching, inking… ect. I agreed to fill up time, and now am stuck on page 1. I downloaded Gimp and Inkscape, and have an old scanner, so I have all the tools. To quote Futurama "… have what my old music teacher called, stupid fingers" I am still learning about those two programs, trying to keep my drawings about the same(hard) and then try to make some kind of reason inbetween the thoughts…

I digress, hello peoples! ^^;

Greetings, if you can draw that makes you one step further then I. I'm a writer at heart, which is to say I'm to lazy to actually sit down and write a story. So I just blow things up in my spare time to quell the frustration.

Welcome to Drunk Duck! Although I do not use Inkscape I do use the GIMP and if you need information on creating dialog balloons [or other GIMP cartooning related issues] here's an URL for you that lists some such GIMP tutorials.

You might find the Tips and Tricks part of the forum helpful.
Aside from that, welcome! I like to hear about people collaborating with friends and such. Some good work comes from collabs.
