Also let me say I pretty much flunked an essay, because I wasn't sure of the authors gender and I used "their" and what not.
Each time I did that my teacher marked me off for a grammatical error.
I hated that teacher.

Oh that sucks…I use "their" all the time on my essays…never thought of it as being grammatically incorrect. I mean what if the author happened to have been using a different name than their usual one or perhaps a name that was unisex?

^will know that: this one girl who I'm friends with through doing tech at my school calls me that (along with a few others) and the girl who calls me that and I can't remember how it started, but it started sometime the start of last year.
It is a strange nickname, for one reason, is because I am pretty big (not fat (anymore)).
