these were mine…

the pics came out a bit blurry, but otherwise okay. No. I'm not obsessed with KISS, I'd just never done them as pumpkins before and every year I do something different. my tools were a pumpkin saw, home made patterns adapted from photographs and a pocket knife to do the relief work.

some of the pumpkins i've done in the past; Gene (from my comic of the same name), the american flag, the red wings team emblem of the winged wheel, the autobot and decepticon insignias, the logo of a company i used to work for, john kerry… i think the year i did gene i also did a dd logo. i'm sure there's more, but i don't remember them off hand. probably some spooky stuff. i stopped using the store bought patterns years ago.

heh, pumpkin pi.

i was going to do a back projection carving on the backs of the pumpkins but ran out of time. i had planned on each of them having a letter from the KISS logo so that behind them you'd see the whole logo in silhouette on whatever was behind them.

I saw that about two years ago. It was a shirt for Pi day. (I have no idea what this holiday is for).

This year I was going to do Sonic the Hedgehog but we went with the standard. Last year I did Ed form Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

I'd try and do the Nobody Symbol from Kingdom Hearts 2, just to see if it could be done. If I got the chance.

I just carved out the words 'your face' on it. since I live in japan,
no one knew what the hell that actually said, which ruined the effect.

I know them, yes. Right after making that I realised that I live in japan. No one's gonna understand what it says.

I put it out anyway.
