I do know that i can post in gif format but i want to now if there are any restrictions other then for the filesize to be under 1mb. because apparently if my file is at 102 kb and 1200px x 1200px something about that seems to be the offbutton for the gif to animate

This is something I do not know about but I may have a solution:
OK, images that are over 900PX wide tend to get shrunk down and saved as jpegs I think, so the solution might be to make your gif about 899 px wide or less in size?
