Noos!

skoolmunkee at Nov. 20, 2006, 12:43 a.m.

Gonna make this quick, ok?

It's that time of year again… the time of year where all Good Internet Nerds should donate money to make childrens' hospital stays just a little nicer. Child's Play, a truly massive and awe-inspiring donation drive run by what is possibly the only webcomic that is a force for good in the world (Penny Arcade) is expanding worldwide and can use every dollar given to the cause. They have a $500k donation meter on their site, which seems like a lot- but how much do you want to bet that they'll get that much, and more? (In fact, don't bet - donate that money!)

MrRiot from The Path is having a fan art contest where the winners get to see themselves in print, or get an original drawing!

Remember No-Face day (organized by Corvin), where comic artists had to tell a story using everything but the characters' faces? Well they've been posted, so go there and read them! The link takes you to the first one, and all the pages are forward from there.

DDer Mark is proposing a project where two-person teams make 2-to-5 page short comics. There is more info in a forum thread so if that sounds interesting to you, check it out!

Crimson Dark has got a 2007 calendar out. It's oversize, full color, and features some of the great art from the comic. You can order it online too!

And last but not least, a bit of news that I shamefully neglected to mention much earlier: The Urban Knight is an ancient 4 years old, and Weaselon will be posting a special anniversary page in the comic's 'Extra' section!

Special moderator/admin note, ozoneocean will be out most of this week so don't go bugging him! And next week, I won't be here, so if you send me a PQ or something and don't get a reply, that's' why. Send news stuff to Black_Kitty instead!
