Site slowness, getting logged out, chunks of code visible on half-loaded pages, etc....

We've been answering this in the forums quite a lot, and it was even in the most recent newspost (guess it shows how many people read the news huh?), but it seems it deserves its own headline.

Sorry about the periods of site slowness and database inaccessability. The site is generating more traffic than it can handle and has outgrown its server hardware. Platinum is working on moving DD to a new server, but the new location is in Houston, which as many people know has been struck hard by Hurricane Ike. We don't have an estimate for how long it will take at this point, but as soon as there is progress we will let you all know.

As always, we are very sorry for all the annoyance this is causing (it's affecting us too after all) and we understand that it is driving some folks away… we hope only temporarily. We do appreciate your patience, Platinum is aware of the problem but until things get back to normal in Houston there's not much anyone can do. :[
