Introducing the Community Spotlight, and milestones!

Hello everbody!


It's hard to think of anyone who has thrown themselves into the site more than Genejoke. He's only been here a year and a few months (and said he was new to making comics), but he's already got 9 comics: some his own, some where he's a major contributor, and some are community projects. All excellent! So not only is he prolific, he's collaboratively-minded as well! He's a frequent forum poster in many of the subforums… including Comic Review, which gets him bonus points. He's also sent in several contributions for the Quackcast which makes me personally happy, and he is always funny, interesting and helpful (often at the same time). I don't think anyone who knows Genejoke would disagree with me! If they do then I WILL FIGHT THEM.

So, thank you Genejoke! Let's give him a hand. :]

In case you didn't notice, Oz and I are trying something new here in the newsposts… we thought since we have all this power, we might try using it for good. The heart of the site is its members and it seems like a good time to celebrate those people who have really stood out to us, contributed to the community in some way, and basically been wonderful to have around.

We're DEFINITELY open to nominations here- if you think someone has been an awesome person and contributor to the site's community, then please tell us! (It will also help if you explain a bit why you think they're great- because we may not know about them the way you do. We're a little bit biased toward the forums!)

I've also got a milestone for you today, from lagoticspy!

Today, Un Re Stop Comics reaches 225 pages, and is also over one year old! So a nice double-milestone there, and I have to say that 225 pages in one year is pretty impressive! (And that's not even his only comic!)
