FRIDAY NEWSPOST - Lost Webcomics Detective II

In which I sit behind a desk in a shadowy room, objectify my secretary and seek out missing webcomics and their creators.

This time I went searching for the comic Hellfire, suggested by shastab24 and Abt_Nihil
This comic was apparently deleted by its creator MafiaMonkey, aka Tom Rainford, although his short comic 1 Dollar is still available.

Unfortunately, my sources (aka Google) weren't able to turn up another source for this webcomic. I did find a whole bunch of more recent art from this creator, though! Unfortunately for us but pretty awesome otherwise, MonkeyMafia/Tom has seemingly moved away from comics to start doing animation and illustration professionally.

I was able to find a cute short he did called Grocery Store, and his showreel from 2012 can be found here.

Tom Rainford's blog can be found here, and is probably the most recent source of his work. There you can see some samples from what seems to be his current project, an animated piece called After Hours.
You can also check out his website: http://www.tomrainford.co.uk/
And here is an interview from early last year: http://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/inroducing-tom-rainford-animation

On top of everything else, Tom was apparently a finalist for a Penguin Book Award for this beautiful cover of One Hundred Years of Solitude:

As sad as it is that Hellfire isn't around anymore, I think it’s kind of awesome to see how webcomics can be a starting point for so many other things!

Are there any other comics or creators who you'd love to find again? Let me know!
