When There Are Not Enough Hours in a Day...

I discovered a sketchbook sitting to the left of the counter during my last visit to my favourite tea lounge. The words "Before I Die…" were scrawled across the black cover, so curiosity got the best of me and I thumbed through the pages. Each page had the same phrase as the cover glued to the top of each blank page and patrons of the café were invited to write down their ideas. I read a couple of thoughts like "Write a Book." and "Go Skydiving!" until I felt I was imposing too much on another person's bucket list. Perhaps it was too simple to isolate one dream to be fulfilled between birth and closing time on Earth, but I should have scribbled "Complete a Webcomic" somewhere in the inner margin of page sixty-three.

Here is a sobering thought: The average human lifespan is between 25,000 - 30,000 days long. When you multiply (Your Age) x (365) + (number of days since your last birthday), you get a glimpse between the number of days you have already spent and will never get back and a general estimated number of days left in your life.

The flowers blossoming in the Springtime are a lot more meaningful because they will all be gone by Autumn.

Now to end this article on an uplifting, happy note-

In an exercise for well-being, it is suggested to keep a small note pad or journal near your bed at night to write down three things you are thankful to have each day. They can be small thoughts like not having to wait long for the light to turn at a traffic intersection OR large scale ideas like being thankful for the continued support of family and friends.
