Halloween Costumes!

(Pizza Rat Costume)
Halloween was once thought of as a holiday made for children because it involved carved pumpkins, festive costumes, and copious amounts of candy. However, as the years passed, the more I observed how adults have a firm hold on the holiday because of its outrageous nature. One thing is for sure: the difference between children's Halloween and adult's Halloween is that adults can take any subject matter under the sun and add the word "sexy" in front of it and turn it into a costume.
Superheroes, witches, and zombies make great classic costumes, but there has been a trend towards adapting pop cultural references into a costume. Some examples include (The Facebook) a foam board with "facebook" scrawled across the top and a rectangle cut out for a person to show their face; (The Che Guevara T-Shirt) where a floating red shirt is suspended in the air and a person decked out in a beret and longish hair sticks out their face through a hole in the center of the shirt. Based on big events from this year, I have a feeling that the popular costumes are going to be: Left Shark from Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show; Cecil the Lion + Dentist Hunter (too soon?); Pizza Rat; the Black/Blue or White/Gold Dress; any presidential candidate from the 2016 race; Minions; and the Weeknd. Adult Halloween takes the absurdity from daily life and makes it ridiculous.
So how are you going to dress up for Halloween? Or better yet, what are your webcomic characters going to be for Halloween?
Our friends over at the Fashion Forum have already set the stage for a Halloween-themed fashion event!
