Incomprehensible Notes to Yourself

I think we all do this – you leave a quick note to yourself with some great idea you’ve had, or something you need to remember to do later on. Days, weeks, or months later you re-discover the note and you have no idea what your past self was thinking. For artists and writers, notes to yourself can get particularly nonsensical. Here’s a small collection of notes on my phone which have lost all meaning to me since I wrote them.

I left this one for myself two days ago. I guess I got distracted?

She gets back home and
This one is almost certainly related to my comic, but I totally left myself hanging! Pull it together, past me!

Pirate ship of cats
Flag is a cat skull and crossbones
I’m not sure if this was for a comic or just a fun mental image

Maharaja
Samurai
No idea whatsoever.

Pink lady – pink/purple hair in front
Light pink dress
Fuchsia boots
Pink tights
White parka
Was this a real person I saw, or some kind of character idea?

What does the man say to his wife who’s a bayou?
Unfortunately the punchline to this obviously stellar joke has been lost to time.

The moon with her ghost
Chases companion planets
Through gradient dusk
Was I writing haikus? WHY?

Feather pen
Paper store
Borges
Liquor punch
Dreams movie
I really need to stop assuming future me will know what I mean by short noun combinations.

Cats teaching box sitting
I’m not sure what this idea was intended for, but it’s pretty funny.

Move the Captain
What captain? Why am I supposed to move him? And where?
