The Ripple Effects of Forum Discussions

I check the DD forums pretty often even when I feel more in the mood to be a lurker than say anything. I might even check the forums at the same rate that I check hs my email.
A long time ago, I thought the forums were reserved for people with a high post count and I was nervous about sharing my thoughts as a newbie, so I continued to lurk snd keep my thoughts to myself. Obviously, I started to share my thoughts in the forums eventually.
There is a forum for discussion titled "What are you watching right now?" that has been active for months. I read it when I first woke up and Tantz_Aerine had posted about a movie that she had just finished watching and wrote a blurb about the plot. It turns out that my mom had given me a copy of the exact same movie and I had not watched it since I had no clue about the plot. After waking up and starting my day, I began watching the movie mentioned in the forums.
Thank you, DD, for shining the light on plenty of movies I had not seen thanks to discussions on the forums!
