Learning to slow down

A big hello from Greece! I'm here with Tantz. It's very warm and picturesque.
It's always interesting going on holiday to a new country, especially one that's quite different from your own and you don't speak the language. You have to find your feet and acclimatise, but once you do that, what then?

Normally I'm working on things constantly, at the office, at home, it doesn't matter. When I'm watching something I'm working on art, making something, planning something for Drunkduck, etc. When I'm not working I feel I'm steeling time away from my projects…

But finding myself here, it's destroyed my routines. There's very little to work on and lots more time to do it in. So what do you do?
Slow down.

Learning to relax can be hard. You feel guilty that you're missing out and not getting things done, or going out and madly sightseeing, trudging through the heat, getting hot and sweaty and forcing experiences on yourself. Instead I've taken a couple of days to lie around, watch YouTube videos and draw, working on my comic. It was just what I needed to reset my brain and I found myself enjoying my drawing more because of it.

How are you on holidays?
