Drunk Duck Awards FAQs

The Drunk Duck Awards have technically been running since 2007 when it was pretty bare bones and 2008 was the first year that had award winner presentations. The awards have been run by various members of the community, with Niccea taking the awards under her wing for the large majority of years in the 2010s.
If the Drunk Duck Webcomic Awards are unfamiliar territory, then this FAQ should guide you through the nomination process.
Question #1: How do I apply for the DD Awards?
Pretty much, if a comic have a consistent update schedule and a regular group of readers, then there is a chance it will get nominated. Creating a "For Your Consideration (FYC)" page is very important in order to give a comic a spotlight at the very start of the awards season.
Most FYC pages are like a commercial, mentioning which categories a comic would fit during the nominations process.
Question #2: How can I enter or does someone have to nominate me?
The nominations/public voting page is created using a google document with many fill in the blank lines for different categories. Creators are not allowed to vote for their own comic, it would increase the chances of getting nominated if a comic sends out a request to be nominated.
Once all nominations have been submitted and tie-breakers have been decided, a panel of judges make a final decision on the comic winner.
The best place to showcase your interest in the 2018 DD Awards is to create a For Your Consideration page and let all your readers know how much you would like to be nominated in a category.
