Southern California based author and illustrator, Kate Alan, uploaded a mini online comic series last week titled “Let’s Get You Mentally Healthy”. The ten page comic series gives helpful tips on how to deal with negative thoughts that come from feelings of anxiety and sadness.
Alan, who has been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Depression as an adult, shares the tips she learned in therapy to help others who do not have the same opportunity to deal with their own mental health related issues. The benefit from posting her comic online is that it reaches a wide audience of people.
The rabbit main character begins its tutorial stating, “It takes work. I am sorry. But it’s not as hard as you think it is, I promise.” The techniques can really benefit E V E R Y O N E, especially those prone to anxiety, and were the basis of Alan getting out of the house and functioning again.
