Friday Fashion Spotlight 19: Anesthesia and Wicked Woman

Number 19.



Anesthesia and Wicked Woman are both characters from the webcomic Generation bad. They're not the main protagonists but I picked them because I think they look cool! Anesthesia is the heroic type, dressed in a really cool style. I love that green dress and the black latex underneath sets it off to max effect. Wicked Woman is more the supervillian type. Her sexy short purple leotard, matching choker, red and gold boots and vambraces, and that short dark jacket make an awesome combo!


Anesthesia




Anesthesia wears a really unique dress. It reminds me of an 11th century knightly tabard with the long hanging tails back and front that leave the legs completely exposed. But then it's also tight on the torso and hips, with an extra wide, high collar, and little short mock leg-o-mutton sleeves. It also has a zip up the front which is unusual for the style- because of the length you might just have it on the side or the back, stopping at the waist. The fact that it's at the front highlights it more. Underneath she wears a long sleeve high collard black latex leotard with matching leggings. Finally the green cuffs bring the whole thing together.
It's a beautiful, sexy, interesting outfit with a stylish, futuristic look. It reminds me of a similar outfit worn by Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell.


Wicked Woman



Wicked Woman has a purple and green theme. Very "Incredible Hulk", though I'm sure that's not intentional, I think rather that her look is more of a nod to the movie version of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. A short jacket and a bodysuit is always such a cool, sexy look that only a character in a comic or a superhero movie can really get away with. The boots and vambraces indicate that she's a fighter! The whole look gives her a bit of a classic 80s street-fighting feel.

These two women have stand out amazing looks but they're only a teeny part of the costume brilliance of Generation Bad. This comic is choc FULL of really great designs.
