Latest update news

No big news this week but things are still progressing slowly but surely.
This is what Alexey says:

"Tomorrow I will continue main page layout. The top menu, featured section and site info sections are ready. Carousels are really tricky to implement properly, so I took time to read about its UX and accessibility issues. I'll probably introduce some small changes for featured section UI."

He's also going to have a look at the bug that happens when you update old pages.

Bug description:

When a member edits and updates an old page, the year on the "live date" changes to the current year. This means that if the original date was "Oct. 6, 2013" then it will change to "Oct. 6, 2022", Which means that is now a future date and the page will be invisible till that time. It's impossible for members to change it back to the original date, all they can do is manually change it to an earlier date IN 2022. Often they don't realise that the change even happened and so the comic seems to lose a page.

The fix will be to set it up so the "live date" doesn't change.
