Emily Stedman, a university student identified as a genius protege by her professor, is introduced to Major Blue, an Air Force liaison, interested in her cognitive abilities. A bit clumsy at times, Stedman is able to connect the dots and see what is in front of her while making the leap to what is not in front of her. Welcome to the briefing room—complete with a stack of nondisclosure agreements that must be signed (and kept forever) unless disappearing completely sounds like a better option.
