DD update post 6th of Janurary

Site redesign update, NEWS!

This is our first progress update on 2023!
There's not a lot to report at the moment. Alexey has fixed up the news page display so you can go through all the news updates and even listen to the latest Quackcast when you get t the bottom of the window. I'm not sure how functional that particular aspect is (listening to the Quackcast) for most members, but it's good to see more of the site working using Emm's new interface.

Both DylanTale Comics and ThrisbyDude are working on some new logos for the site, I'll include versions bellow and you can see more of ThrisbyDude's here: https://www.theduckwebcomics.com/forum/topic/179150/
Anyone is free to make new logos for the site and if they're appropriate we will include them in regular rotation on the new front page and use them in promo images on social media.
The proportions should be either 4:3 or 2:1 for now.

2022 was a big year for DD and its redesign. We finally started working on it after all these years of talking. Bluecuts34 and Damehelsing helped kick-start things by organising an anthology to raise money to pay for the changes! We didn't raise enough in the end to pay for the whole project but it was a good start to begin the process. Instead I'm funding it through my own money and slowly paying that off from the funds we raise through Patreon, ads and donations. It was the kick in the pants that we needed though! Without their efforts we'd always be waiting for the right time to begin.

Emma Clare came out on top in the design competition for the new site look when we did that a few years ago, so that's the template Alexey started working from. However, since then Emma has revised the design quite a bit and simplified things, which prevents us ending up with an old-fashioned looking site due to how long it's taken to get the redesign underway.

Alexey has finished the look of the Front page, News posts, and the News archive, and the rest of the site will be based on the look of those, with custom member created DD logos and backgrounds.
