The USS Equinox featured in a couple of episodes of star trek voyager and I liked the design, it was a part of the inspiration that led to me making this comic. There are a lot of trek models freely available online and when I started I wanted to find a model of the equinox that was suitable. None of the ones I had found were up to scratch, or required a lot of ball ache to customise and make look good, which is why I'm making my own. I decided to make it larger as well. As it stands the equinox model is better than my own but that might change.

I like the Nausicans. I haven't seen every series but as far as I know, there were no Nausicans or Cardassians in Starfleet. Might be nice to see both!

They say when you build models, you should do them to their real world scale as closely as possible, because there's actually a difference between how a small model looks on camera versus how a full size ship does, especially in animation. You can "fake it" sort of by messing with lens size, though.

I know right. Even though trek has other cat like races, because of reading nivens books I want to do kzinti. Which as they are officially a trek race, why not.
