The good news is, even with this a little late, I got the next page completely ready for the next update and I'm making decent progress on a third! (don't want to jinx it though! Every time I bring up that I'm making progress something goes wrong…)
My computer seems to be working better now, but I still may have to reboot the whole thing just in case. Thanks everyone who mentioned better antivirus! We'll definitely look into it when this one expires, since we sorta already paid up the subscription :(
There's the possibility it might not have been a virus though, probably just was in a mood as it gets sometimes. But with twelve consecutive attack attempts and it not responding when clicked on the windows updates icon (it installed after I restarted the computer however) one has to assume it's something bad!
This has been a great computer, it might just be starting to show some wear from use so we might be looking into getting a new one in the near future. Anyway, that's why this one's strictly internet while my other computer is strictly offline work stuff.
Oh yes, and UIU fans can look forward to an update at long last after I load this page! :D
