Charby really doesn't get what Mannick is on about, he's had his own thing to deal with even before Mannick arrived and as we've established, Charby doesn't interact with Mannick much beyond having smothered him with a pillow for getting too close to him while sleeping on the couch. This is a guy who was trying to talk to animals on the TV, Charby always kinda figured he's not the brightest bulb. Of course he's curious about why he seems so different now… Mannick sort of telling him not to patronize him earlier caught him well off guard, Charby invited him along for today simply because he does want to suss out what Mannick's deal is. He's just not going to ask point-blank "Why are you suddenly, seemingly, smart?"
