#991 Youth: Imp'd!

I've been having trouble getting my DS to connect to the internet so I can play Metroid Hunters online. I used to have it set up so I could play MarioKart online, but we began to suspect that the settings were slowing down the 'net, and I wasn't playing much online at the time anyway, so we went ahead and set everything back to normal. Now we've set everything up how it needs to be (as far as we can tell) and the damn thing won't work.

There was a comical moment when Sean accidentally set the router to ban all the MAC addresses stored on it instead of only allowing access to those addresses specifically, forcing us to plug into it directly. Of course, annoying roommate (there's always one…) bursts in demanding to know why we didn't warn him that we were going to be shutting the 'net off.

Ah well, such is life. Anyway, we're doing surprisingly well on Buzzcomix. Back on WCL (what the Hell happened to them, anyway?) we stayed on a steady 12-13 range, but Buzz is a bit more competetive, and we're doing pretty well to stay in the 21-19 range. I still haven't recovered all the readership from the crash and frequent down-time not too long ago. As far as I can tell, we used to have double the readers. Guess that just tells you something about the internet.
