Oh my…who is that? Someone familiar?

Though it's not the first time he's been mentioned in Sune; that would be issue #2.

On the personal front, looks like the new car search is over for now, and I'm keeping my Mustang. It was the multiple car thing – the financing companies looking at me like I was trying to take on 3 autos even though I was trading one in – that killed me. It didn't matter what dealership I went to, it was pretty much the same answer, and for as frustrating as it was each time, I couldn't help but feel a little sense of relief each time. Hexx could see that, and she didn't want me to do it in the first place, but I was just trying to better the situation for the family. She went with me the last go `round, this past weekend, as did my mother, who is looking for a new van (so I invited her along, figuring to kill two birds, and all that).

For those who aren't aware, average time at a dealership when buying a car, with the paperwork and credit checks and everything, is 4 hours. I learned this when going to buy Hexx's car, and it's held true.

So Saturday we were at the dealership for about 4 hours when we had to skate to go home and get all prettified for a wedding. We came back Sunday and found that dealership was a no-go as well. It's funny how the whole thing works. We have enough to cover our bills and make our payments, and yet I still can't get a car on which I pay $200 LESS a month than I already pay, because they count the car I'm trading in as one of the expenses. How crazy is that?

And sure, one way around it is to sell the car first, and the ad has been out there, but no one has called. In this economy, how many people actually have twenty grand to spend on a car just laying around in the bank?

But that's okay, I get to keep my ride, Hexx has said she will learn to drive manual, and hey…my knee bothers me I'll slap on a brace and chew some ibuprophen.

Now that the whole running around car dealerships is over (at least for the time being), I can turn my attention back to other important matters…like getting pages out more frequently again.
