Sune #5 - Blood: Page 31

I'm listening to Hexx review issue 5 up through this page as I type this, and it strikes me how much I appreciate the input of both her and Anthony when we sit and talk about the universe and its characters. I've lived with the characters for so long I just go on a certain track and removed as the two of them are, they are able to better put into words what I can best describe only as my instinct.

I do things because they FEEL right at the time, and as things proceed, they grow in this sort of organic way. For instance, it might almost seem planned that in this issue both Sune and Mr. White, from opposite sides of the tracks, as it were, are experiencing their own little bits of personal introspection, and we're seeing a glimpse of how both of them came to be who they are, and perhaps even how they're put in places where they themselves may need to reevaluate said place. It seems almost planned.

It wasn't. Not to that extent. It just sort of felt right as I was writing it. Hexx, on the other hand – akin to my discussions with Anthony over Alex or Quill (and we've had some that have gone on for hours, picking apart a character's psychology) – is able to better put into words, to focus, the thoughts behind my motions.

Though without them the path ahead would likely be the same, their words help provide me with a greater clarity.

It's nice to have that.
