…d'oh. Dammit, a habit of a lifetime foiled. Now I actually have to write things about myself.

Hey, I'm Markusdragon. I'm a 20 year old professional university dropout with a left-wing agenda and a penchant for Terry Pratchett books, Terry Gilliam movies, and Tim Schafer and Peter Molyneux videogames. I live on the internet due to my complete lack of social skills and borderline agoraphobia, but my IP address says I'm from the UK, so I guess I'm British. I have three dogs and two Guinea Pigs, and an allergy to all of them.

I've always liked comics, my favorite comic (sorry, graphic novel) by far being Alan Moore's masterpiece 'Watchmen'. I've created sprite comics for several years now, but only now, after my project with an Australian artist has come to a grinding halt due to a lack of good writing and good art, have I considered making something aimed at a general demographic rather than 10 people on a forum.

I'm a minimalist, and believe fervantly that large, clean pixellations look cool. This is because I grew up in the early 1990s, and don't know any better. I like grey-on-white colorschemes, and yet fervantly hate Apple products with a passion. I like old technology more than new. I once bought a 32" TV set on eBay for £5, and it turned out to be the heaviest thing ever. I have an odd affinity for the Dreamcast, despite the fact that I can only remember the names of a small number of decent exclusives on it.

I create a webcomic called 'Mystery Sprite Theater', which is an homage (for 'homage', read 'stolen concept' ) of the classic TV Show 'Mystery Science Theater 3000', in which I take boring, lackluster or just easy to make fun of sprite comics and smatter them in witty commentary, irreverent comments and pop culture references.

I suffer from an inferiority complex, a thorough self-hatred and a total lack of self-confidence, and therefore am forced to seek confirmation and approval from other people on a very regular basis. This duplexes with my social anxiety disorder which means I have a tendency to try to hide from people that are just trying to be nice.

I'm also very self critical.

Hello, konichiwa, Guten Tag, bonjour!

That was me trying to look intelligent by using multiple languages.

Hi, Markusdragon,

I'm Lynn. Older than 20; done with university (I went the whole way.) I'm VERY hard on "modern" writers, especially in the genre Pratchett tends to write in, I'm not a fan, not a hater, kinda' indifferent. Terry Gilliam is fantastic, I like all his films, even "Time Bandits." I like all kinds of video games, depending on my mood. I'm on the internet the better part of the day, work from home and although, I have a'tha "social skills" I prefer "cyber" friends to "real" ones; as I am horribly anti-social, but I love people. I'm American, Texan to be more exact, have no pets; but occassionally work on a ranch and give horse-drawn carriage rides, in the "westend" which is nothing like London's "Westend." So, I have my fill of animals.

I love comics, all comics. I like "Watchmen" but, feel it a bit overrated. I prefer "Preacher" "Transmetropolitian" "Strangers in Paradise…" to name a few…I like Alan Moore, always kinda' favored Miller though…But, can't deny Moore's appeal. I am no minimalist and think more is more. I do like a grayscale and loved the television show, MST3K; I'll have to check out your "homage."

I think we all have a small inferiority complex to a point…if you don't I'd wager you're kinda' a prick. I am the queen of self-hatred, it's hard not to do. I however am oozing to a disgusting extent with self-confidence, and tend to come off as tactless when I'm tryin' to be nice. Always a rub.

Welcome to Drunk Duck, I hope you enjoy it and have a blast!

Define Cold Hot Cola…
It's different from Hot Cold Cola.

Welcome aboard. I agree that clean pixellations can work. (Diesel Sweeties being a prime example) Your avatar, for instance, looks cool. Almost like a Lego dude.

Yes it is. Noone ever reads it, but it's definately needed. It's to keep the 'uncool' people away. They're scared of lots of words.

As well it should, Rutger - the avatar was designed to subliminally remind you to buy more fresh mozzarella. It works for me!
