man, that sucks…. he's basically the savior of all college students, the busy people on the go that has a craving for noodles, or for lazy people who don't want to slave over a stove…

may he rest in peace.

I have never eaten ramen. Imagine that a whole group of foodstuffs and I have NEVER tried it. And now the maker is dead. Sad.

Most of us would know him better as the "instant noodle" man :)

I seriously thought that the whole "college kids live off of Kraft Dinner and Ramen" wasn't true until my first year of university. I went into the convenience store in junior residence, and there was literally a whole wall dedidcated to those two products, and everyone in there had some in their baskets.

Personally, I can't stand the stuff. I remember in elementary kids used to break the noodles up with their fingers before opening the little bag, put the seasoning on, and eating it like a snack.
Revolting.

…I do like Kraft Dinner, though.

Kraft make Vegemite!

Noodles are good. I don't use flavouring in packets. I just buy packs of plain noodles and make my own noodle soups. They're delicious! One of my fave mixes involves a teaspoon of HOT English mustard, salt, dried rosemary, saltanas, peperoni, carrot… and various other veggies. It's geeeeeeeeeewd.

lol I don't really need to eat it myself, but I love ramen!

I don't use the flavoring package along with it though. to make the best ramen, just get out a pot of hot boiling water, drop in packages of the ramen (however how you want it, I ususally do two snice it saves me making a second bowl snice I always want seconds). veggies, cooked meat and other natural seasonings that you want to use, go ahead and put it in there too… it takes only like 5 mintues for the meal to be cooked thoughly.
I always tend to drain mine of the water so that my ramen is more favorful and at it's best. I find that half of the time the water often takes away from the noodles' favor and makes it taste like something else.

a lot of people often say that they used only the mircowave, the favoring package and left the water in there when they eat it… and then they end up complianing that it tastes like cardboard! gee, I wonder why.. (rolls eyes).

Man, he must not have eaten a lot of his own product…

It's laden with sodium, not to mention they deep fry the noodles.

he looked happy enough:

He made almost 2 million doller off of Raman Noodles (since their only ten cents or so). Thats a lot of money in japan.

Ramen noodles suck. Captain Crunch is better.

I too have been Crunch-a-tized.

as I get older, I preferr the origional Capn crunch…
The crunch berries variety are like sugar+preservative over kill.

Don't get me wrong instant Ramen is great but recently I went to this new Authentic-Japanese Resturant and had real Ramen noodle. They're famous for their Ramen there and I can understand why. They don't use instant they use noodles that they make right at their kitchen.
^_^ With Shitaki mushrooms, bamboo shoots and other yummy stuff you can order in it; their Ramen is great!
I've actually found it hard to start eating instant Ramen after having the fresh stuff. lol.

Damn dude, i probably wouldn't have lived as long as i have without this stuff. And any fan of manga or anime has at least tried it once. Now if you'll excuse me, i've got some ramen to fix.

Rest in peace.

He'll never be forgotten.

I just know he'll pop into my head next time I make myself some ramen. xD;

Poor guy… May you rest in peace. And thank you so much for creating instant chicken ramen. My lunchtimes would be pointless without you.
