No really though, thank you! Some of the descriptions in this game have been vague and open to interpretation (I'm assuming it's because everyone else already knows the rules). I thought that if you had a lynch cancelling ability it would work on any kind of lynching – even the instant kind.

Lol yeah Ally, running against Hark isn't recommended, unless you're sure you can pull a lead over him, and lynch him instead.
He has this tradition of you know, royally burning the town to the ground. (Mafia won last game do to Hark's blind murdering ways.)
And glad I could help with that rule. It's ultimately the mayor's one chance of snagging someone powerful in the first day, be they destroying a mafia, or a pro-town role depending on their allegiance.
Or if you're the Harkovast Allegiance, you just lynch the second in command, take out a phone book, and start pointing to any name you think looked at you funny.
