After reading through about three or four previous pages, I have started to feel horribly bad for Crocty. Not only does he endlessly try to get into K.A.L.A-dan, but he endlessly fails at doing so.
The worst part was where he didn't even know Cowboy Bebop or FMA. Srsly. And I thought I was bad.
My advice: lurk for a while, watch a WHOLE LOT of anime, and I mean a WHOLE LOT, amongst which, but certainly not limited to: Fullmetal Alchemist, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Trigun, Hellsing Lucky Star, Elfen Lied and Berserk, to cover the basics, cram some movies in there (Spirited Away, at the very least, Urotsukidoji should have some funny effects on your brain…careful though), and then attempt tp join again. Because lets face it, you're making a huge ass of yourself. Browse through this website, too...

Don't disagree, but I wanted to mention he should watch all movies made by the creator of Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki). Also, you forgot Rurouni Kenshin, but if you don't want to watch 99 episodes of an anime, I'd go with the two movies they made for the series. Basically sums up everything in a few hours… (it's cheating, but oh well).
