I made strawberry shortcake from scratch! I picked the strawberries myself, made the syrup mush and baked the (vegan) biscuits. : B The only thing missing was some kind of whipped topping but I couldn't get to the health food store today, lol. I'll do that after work tomorrow or something… but I'm super proud of myself. I've never made it before.

It was funny though… my dog's name is Biscuit and every time I said "biscuit" in reference to my strawberry shortcake, my dog Biscuit would come in the room and start tilting his head. He's such a derp. : B

Whenever somebody says 'strawberry shortcake' I think of that really gross image

Argh… Trying, but can't sleep. I guess the hot room isn't helping. I'd sleep tonight if I wasn't working… Maybe I should give in to my temptation and try to get a furry hen from my brother in law… Naw. I've got my hands full with Mr. Turtle already…

Siberian Huskys usually run around 45-60 pounds (20½-27kg.)

I F*CKING LOVE HUSKIES. i own one, she's a dainty 50lbs. Mischievous and smart as all get out. she uses the other dog to get out of her kennel. those two are a pair. (imagine if 2 Stupid Dogs, was actually about smart dogs)

I love Huskies too! I call him the "nanny". He's got enough energy to keep up with the kids for me and do his work besides. My husband is a patrol deputy and our dog is going through training to be a police dog. Huskies aren't usually, but he was very big for his breed and he had the right temperment for it.

@ OnlyFoolsandVikings:

Congrats! I remember my first car. It was three years older than me and the front hood had giant patches of peeling paint, but I loved it all the same. It was so cool to be the friend who got to drive everybody around. :D

I looked on Youtube at a couple of bullet hell shooters from a company called Cave… and I felt like crying. All I could think while watching them was "how in the heck am I going to make graphics like those?!?"… Especially the I-phone bullet hell shooters. Lots of bullets without the slowdown. I guess all I can do for now is to learn everything I should about programming and designing games and take everything one step at a time. Hopefully by the time I even get one shooter done the technology hasn't surpassed my meager skills… T_T

I COULD make visual novels too… but they're more complicated than they look. You have to store all the data for the text and figure out how to create triggers that will activate a scene… x_x

I know how you feel Lonnehart, I'm trying to do both during this summer vacation, but my lord the programming language is hard to get into.

I have so many things I want to do this summer, that I end up doing nothing. :/

I learned a long time ago that programming isn't for me.

So tired, been moving furniture and my muscles are like jelly now, still not finished either, just taking five.

Heh… take things a little at a time. And as simple as possible. Hence I'm learning how to do 2D first. One thing at a time at my own pace. I can make a basic shooter right now… but I don't want to make an actual playable shooter 'til I can create the editors I need to make the creation process easier. :)

Still, if you want to make a decent shooter semi-easy, you could just find and use Klik n Play and its various sequels… :)

Heh… had an idea of a comic I could debut on CF. The journeys of the WCS Mallard (WCS = WebComic Ship), Registry Number D.S. 2002 (figure out the meaning behind that one). Captained by Skoolmunkee with Ozone as the First Officer.

Unfortunately, the ship would be powered by beer… which the crew decides is better served in their tankards instead of the ship's energy tanks, resulting in the ship being dead in space… :)

that's ammmmaaaazing.
if IF we get another dog, it's gonna be another husky. He's gonna have the traditional black and white fur, and green eyes. And i'm going to name him Ulquiorra.
orrrrr he's going to be red and white with the blue eyes, and i'm going to name him Gaara.

I don't suppose you could just hook up those Xboxes to the laptops? I've seen a few laptops with HDMI input connections…

I'm freezing my tits off this long weekend, its cold and raining and my house is about as insulated against the cold as a naked guy in the arctic wearing nothing but some swim fins. Ugh. Got two shirts, two jumpers, one heavy jacket, a pair of stockings a pair of jeans over the top and two pairs of socks on, I can't move my arms and legs, but hey, I'm not going to die, I don't think!

I feel like one of tose babies you see in those "starfish" fully body suit things.

——-

Fugly is doing really well! He's eating seed and he's imprinted on mum, he chirps every time he hears her talking or sees her, its really cute. He's standing up and walking around, not like anormal bird of course, his legs ARE broken, but he seems to get around quite well, he's actually rather speedy on his elbows. It's like he's always going commando.

My school laptop is a bust. It crashes.

All.

The.

Fucking.

Time.

It freezes and it always has a hissy fit if you charge it and want to do something. For fuck's sake school, is it really that difficult to get students laptops that won't crash at the drop of a hat? Did you really need to cheap out on us and get th crappiest you could find? It's not just mine either, my friends crash constantly as well, its really really really annoying particularly when you're trying to work on assignments.

Bad Lenovo 'think pad'! I might as well sell you for magic beans!

You know what kind of laptops we get at school?
None, you spoiled kid! : P

Seriously though, your school provides laptops for every student? That seems excessive, even if they are crappy.

Your school gives you laptops? That's incredible. Though, from your description it sounds more like a grand gesture than actual help.

I let my son play out in the yard today. He came back at snacktime and get this; covered head to foot in mud. Every inch of him. His teeth and the whites of his eyes were shocking against his face, there was so much mud.

Needless to say, I screamed.

"You're filthy!"

"Yeah mom," He shrugged. "I'm a boy, it happens all the time."

He the most self aware three year old I've ever met. :-\

@Hippie Van

haha, no just for the senior students in some schools. It was a policy put into place by the ex-prime Minister here, he wanted laptops for every senior student (so year 11 and 12). I know most private schools have them now though not all, and I'm not too sure about the Public schools.

So the school doesn't pay for them, the government does, and in typical government style, the minimun amount is paid out, and laptops re-used over several years for different students. It seems pointless to give us laptops to "work on assignments at home" when they crash constantly and you can never get assignments done because of it…

It kind of creates more problems then solves.

OH and I found ause for my school laptop.

OH GOD, I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. IT… IT OWNS MY SOUL!

isn't that cat supposed to be a poptart?

Posted at

Yep, its a "Cherry poptart" originally as knowyourmeme.com describes the Nyan Cat, then it changed to toast. I've been singing the song all day and am now drawing a comic about it.

It's so…. addictive.

Glad to hear that the baby pigeon is doing well, OFAV! But shouldn't you do something about broken legs? I mean… I'm sure birds could live like that, but I'd want them to be fixed at least. Oh, well… there must be a good reason he can't have his legs fixed or else you would've done it a long time ago.

I need to sleep with my TV off. I dream weird things when the TV shows somehow leak themselves into my dreams. Such as when I'm dreaming I'm adventuring with Bear Grylls, and he tells me he's found dinner. Next thing I know he's somehow cooked a giant caterpillar the size of a house, and is enjoying himself eating it and tries to get me to eat it too. O_O
