Artwise there's much room for improvement, but the author seems unafraid to challenge the usual obstacles such as backgrounds, color palettes, and real-life clothing and ppl. I don't see any shortcuts taken; whatever he visualizes, he tackles with his art. The story seems grounded in the real world; another rarity in an amateur comic.

I guess it is a bit sexual, but it's definitely not sexy! Mechanical centipedes crawling under some poor lady's skin is about the least sexy thing I can think of!

Ooooh, today's MAG-ISA is a toughie. What can I say about a page that's mostly black, has only one image (of a blank-screen TV) in the centre and not much dialogue? Well, the few lines of dialogue there are do kind of entice you want to know what's on the next page, so that's cool.

The latest update to Shades is also difficult to write about. If I say it's got a bunch of naked guys all watching another naked guy being chased by their mean-looking snakes, you're going to get the wrong idea, right?

Yeah … thought so! You'd best go see it for yourself. It's not nearly as raunchy as it sounds!

Shades how I love thee. A great rendition of the serpents and the egg myth here in DAJB's comic. I'm running out of words to describe Shades to be honest, but this mix of superhero and mythology with British Superheroes no less, never ceases to entertain and amaze.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today with more of this discourse between Nightshade and her friend, along with some sumptuous art by Reva. Oh yes, she's captured Nightshade perrrfectly!

You don't see much steamy sex action in the comics these days. And "Wyrden" is delivering today. Hot stuff there.

Today on Times Like This: No, the whole place didn't stop dancing when the bartender stopped mixing the mojito… (anyone see that commercial yet?)

Aww, he has a cool shirt, though. That's pretty much his only redeeming feature. I recognize the puppets, but alas - my pop culture fu is weak, and I can't name them.

Awesome page. I am seeing the art and overall look of The Devon Lagacy, getting Mucho strong lately. This strip is growing by leaps and bounds. The coloring is fantastic and the characters are way cool. I can't wait to see how my Devon Lagacy cover will look, when you color it up and do your majic!!!

Rival Angels is one of the best comics here at the Duck, and it is getting better with each new installment. I love the color work and the panel layouts on this. The dialogue is natural and real. The hotties are easy on the eyes……..yup. Good stuff.

@jim: That forcefield must be getting pretty annoying to those two. Aside from crawling through the ventilation shaft, they could also do a common escape technique of having a convenient event happen that opens it.
