The new chapter of Used Books starts with a threat already imminent. And a cat who clearly knows about these things!

Go see the nice lady in the book store. Now. Before the only place you can see her is in the hospital!

***********************

This week's instalment of Shades also has a threat or two up its sleeve.

Probably best not to read this one, if you're scared of heights!

Beautiful art, a two-thousand-yeard-old warrior queen, and mystical goings-on–what's not to love in SHADES?

In the CROSSOVERLORD, the creepiest of our cast, Debbie, has a few words with the Keepers of the Armory of Apocalyptic Objects at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=531115. —Al

Dead Debbie scares me.
I am mean really genuinely frightens me.
She needs to wear looser clothes for starters!
That tight waist on her top is doing her no favours at all!

I'm very keen on the three strange beings she is talking to though, they are like talking art exhibits.

———————————————————————–

Today in Harkovast some important, fundamental concepts behind the world are explained. Be warned, Harkovast is not always a very nice place.

TLT: Ahh the Comic Con… Never been there, probably never will. But it's always nice to see/hear about it.

WWE The Comic: "Let the games begin." - John Kramer.

Anime redux: Disturbing pedophilic humor. Always a classic.

WWE The Comic: Interesting "Saw" parody– I've never seen the films but I know the concept. But I'm not sure how using a gun denotes physical strength– lol. I like the idea of photographing action figures. It gives the comic a basement feel.

My comic:

The Optimist:
Page 4 is up! Meet Jadwiga and Kazimieras, two Lithuanian siblings growing up during the Soviet occupation of Lithuania.

Hard to believe that's all hand done. There's so much detail and shading that must go into Putrid Meat, damn. A brilliant page as always.

Today on Living With Insanity, we get another look at the creative process.

Hmmm… He drew a line, and then he punched it. How is punching a line exactly a punchline? Wait – I know! He hurt his knuckles; it's physical humor!!!

Speaking of humor, I just created a ka-ka-ka-krazy personality quiz in my comic! Check it out and find true happiness.

QUEST:Chapter 1: Page17(Awakening) is out

The conclusion of the rogue vs spider fight

The latest Quest comic has a pretty epic action sequence, some of which is pretty bad ass, and some of which doesn't entirely flow well for my eyes, but that's no reason that you shouldn't read it - check it out for yourself before you agree or disagree with me.

Anime Remix: You've got an interesting take on Naruto - never seen the original, so I think I'll just "watch" your version instead :D

Apocalypse 2030: Sweet looking character - I'd be interested in anything Apocalypsey

I really love the bright coloring and the way you shade and add highlights to the hair. I think the coolest thing (artistically_ is the semi-transparent thing and the reflection in the tabletop. I don't think many comic artists think about reflections in shiny things that much. They'll just add some light reflections to show the surface is smooth. It's really cool to see the reflection in it. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A much beloved but unspoken character in Used Books finally takes initiative on today's page and proves himself more useful than just eye candy. I also tackle a conundrum I never thought about before. What does a one-armed person do with a bleeding hand injury? (I do not, however, address the question of how she has such nicely manicured fingernails.)
Used Books: I can empathise with that, OW…been there…painful!
The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today and Mercedes reveals a secret or two!
Posted at
Chronicles of Wyrden: Wow! I never would have expected that! This is some really amazing stuff here, I'm diggin both the writing and the drawing. So you should ALL definitely check this out! Also, very clean artwork ^__^
Ryu's Krew updates today! with Archound still on his solo mission to get his outfit.
Posted at
Ryu's Krew is a pretty interesting comic. The art is pretty solid, and a lot of the crosshatching is really nice-looking. I mentioned on your wall that you might want to go back in and give the characters distinguishing characteristics, since their faces aren't very visible, and there are a lot of names to remember in such a rather short period of time.
The Optimist has updated! Page 5! Check it out! I'm really happy with the coloring on panel 1. And actually, I put in an image of the Sex Pistols, and want people's opinions– does it fit in/match the rest? hm.
This page does a lot of heavy character-building– a lot happens in a few panels– so it's a lot of bang for your buch to click on it! whee!
Is the optimist painted? I really think it is! Hooray! more traditional media comics!
The story being told is really interesting and a far cry from what I normally see browsing around DD.
The plight of those living under the soviets is a story worth telling.
Well done on a great work so far (but with only 5 pages, you need to hurry up and make more of it!)
In Harkovast, Sir Muir manages the almost impossible by making even less sense then before…
A quest begins, or is already underway, on Harkovast. Very nice use of pencil colouring.
Living With Insanity updates with a play on words. It involves roosters and that's all I'll say.
