Can't we be, like, Chad or something? (Chad is an African country. No, I'm not making that up.)
Still French though I'm afraid… :(

Black Kitty is right! There is NO war between Smack Jeeves or Drunk Duck! Why the heck can't we forget about this and just do what we do best? Make people laugh!? And how did all this garbage start anyway? We're communities that have great people and great services. We're equals and we should just leave it at that.

I'd like to think that spiderforest is the best place to host a comic off of.

I made a mirror for one of my comics (back when I had one), on smack jeeves. It was one of the first 20 or so on the site. I liked it and all, but there was nothing that really drew me in. The admin's cool. It's a community, and all that stuff, but it's not home. Home is where you're food is infested with moths, and you find yourself defending you're belongings from zombies on a daily basis using only a small collection of plasticware. Home, is DD.

At first, I was with DD, then it went down and I found out about Smack Jeeves. I moved most of my DD comics there, but then i quit drawing. Now I'm back here, writing new comics (hate how I draw) and finding myself not going onto Smack Jeeves as much

And that's my life story

i use both. I find more people read my comics at smackjeeves, I think ive gotten 1 big whoppin veiw since i started here again. So i think its easyer to get your comic to the people on smack jeeves. But i like DD because its a alot easyer to costumize and use.

Considering that DrunkDuck went live less than a week ago and you made your comic account yesterday, it would make sense that more people read your comics on Smack Jeeves then they would here.

wtf…

Funny thing about this situation is, we are now the "Comic Genesis" of the competition. This time, we are the site that shuts down, and members drift off to another webcomic host. Then that host all of a sudden realizes the existance of the other revamped, previously shut-down comic host and wages a competition.

WOAH. There's a parallel I didn't see until just now.

Back in my day we didn't have all this crap about 'justification' or 'thinking it over'. We went in a we killed their guys and we had a big olde party. And ya know what? I can still remeber the stink on the enemies breathes. Thems were a damn hard time to kill. Had ta stick more'an a few suckers in their 'ol 'eads to get em down. Ach…thats where the good olde days went ouff to. That's where the good old days…

Anyway, there's no use try'in ta kill someone on this 'intraweb' 'o yours, so go find you some other battle.

Yeah, we get bored of wars too easily… No one can be bothered to work out a proper exit strategy.
I mean, look what happened with the Drunk Duck Vs Comic Gen battles. We were full of piss and vinegar initially, we went in hammer and tongs! I was POSITIVE they were hiding WMD’s in there somewhere…

But we ended up just losing guys for no point. The puppet government we installed there looks pretty shaky. Sure we captured the giant Comic Gen oilfields, but I’m just not convinced it was worth it. Even if it did give us a strategic foothold in the region.

Now, going after Smack Jeeves would be just foolish. We’re over extended with Comic Gen, and even if we are sure Smack Jeeves are developing nukes, the only reason they’d be doing that is to defend themselves from us!

War is hell…
 This is just hilarious…You made my day. No really you did! :D I can officially say I have a huge crush on you now. Huzzah for internet crushes…<3

Well, as it turns out both my sites are doing very well. I think this means that both of them are as important as the other. ^^ My ratings went from being half and half at online comics to being one of the most popular anthro series on the list. And I certainly didn't do much to promote my work either, I'm actually surprised. I couldn't believe it. I have no fancy set up at either one of them and my knowledge of html is like very basic. So whatever I'm doing I'm gonna keep both of these sites as my home.

To the victor belongs the spoils…..

The same thing happened between Keenspace and DD when The Duck forst cam about (durring the time that Keenspace was down, if I remember correctly) I don't really understand the competition. Plenty of people hang arround both places, and it's not like you havve to force free hosting on people…..can't be that hard to get members..

I post my comics on both but I'm also an absolute whore.

I've a new update of my own comming along, (for my main site). It's just been going a bit slow. Perhaps I need more fiber in my diet?

What's good for comic constipation? Anyone?

Sounds like you need a comic enema.

Hmmn. Yeah, I can see how that might work Mr. Neil, but I still say a comic enema is necessary.

Try placing 2 CCs of Bloom County, 4 CCs of Peanuts, 1 CC of Mutts, and one issue of Warren Ellis' Planetary in a bag. Mix well with bourbon and flush your system out.

That, or you could read them too, if you want to take the EASY way out.

You'll be better in no time!
