I haven't been sleeping very well. =(

I need a new bed.

Also, I had a dream where my friend died in a car accident, but it was one of those realistic dreams you didn't realize was a dream, so I was thinking about all the good times we had together and stuff.

GIN.

*double-takes*

I remember a female friend who said that. Then she got a new girlfriend…

I'd have thought that all you guys would be well used to that, having served in the armed forces. After all, what else is an officer but what you describe?
-particularly a junior officer.
i learned it all right.

actually being aircrew in the air force, i honestly don't have to deal with that alot. the older CGO's smack the peepee's of the younger lt's. they also treat the enlisted (that they work with) slightly better, as that only 2% of the enlisted force actually flies, so by proxy, we're smarter than the average enlisted guy.
however, my refrence was that the people with degree's are quicker to ask for help, than the enlisted side that i work with (not in my career field).

blech i woke up this morning in the middle of massive storm. when i tried to leave for the gym, the sky was falling like a shower. i decided to go back to bed for an hour.
when i woke up, all had passed, and i was good to go. when i got to the gym i was going to run two miles, i began running, and right away i noticed that the world seemed heavy. i kept running. and as i ran, everything got heavier. it was harder to breath, and it felt just wierd. i stopped at a mile, at 15 seconds slower than my average fast pace. (lol, i used slow average and fast in the same sentence) i thought maybe i was having some sort of physical problem, but i continued with my workout, as if i had finished the run.

when i went swimming however, i managed to find this perfect breathing rate, and i ended up beating my personal best, by 25 seconds. bringing my 500m into the 9 minutes section. i also felt good enough to do an extra 250 meters. and i did.

i'm very ashamed that i didn't push myself to the run, because i believe now, that it was all mental.

And for your information, I enjoy reading shonen manga much more then I enjoy reading erotica comics.
I don't. Erotica for me every time!

Awe, c'mon! With prepubescent boys beating each other in the face for hours and hours with no end in sight, generally a single sexual interest, but one that never ends up going anywhere, what's not to love!?

I like the morals on friendship and never giving up. And how the main character, who is usually dumber then the rest of the cast, tries harder then everyone else, and in the end, because of his crazy hard work and dedication, comes out on top. I can relate to the former of that last sentence – I'd like to relate the latter eventually.

I want to incorporate those morals into my works, no matter what they beee.

@Stick Sheets: I agree that people who complain about yaoi/shoujo-ai/erotica/sexiness getting more hits stats-wise are huge pusses who need to just dedicate themselves to their own work.

I do think it's true that erotic manga DO get more hits, mainly because sex is something that really piques a person's curiosity. But what's stopping the complainers from doing it themselves? If they don't want to follow the popular crowd, that's great, but don't they gotta' not bitch about it, right? =)

Why can't I work on the illustrations and t-shirt designs I'm getting paid to do? Oh yeah, because I'm too busy working on a comic I do for free.

More proof that I'm a f**kin' genius over here. ;)

See, and at this point I thought the next sentence would be "and then I woke up and it was still raining outside".

Must be that I used to have nightmares about being unbearably slow and unable to run away from danger/catching up to someone.

Urgh. Didn't sleep too well. It's Saturday, I barely managed to borrow enough money to pay my late net bills and I'm off to the ISPs office in 2.5 hours to get a new bill printed (so that I can pay once as the post office charges per bill) then go to the post office that's about 20 minutes walk away (only 24h one in the area) then run back, show them the bill "see? I paid! please don't turn my internet off!" and go back home (and climb uphill, urgh).

I'm hoping that with net problem solved, I can finally focus on the job that potentially might pay me for my art :D
That, and selling Din Krakatau (once I hear back from Ka-blam, as far as I know they're off to the Chicago con right now so nothing until Monday for sure).
I'd have to have either the paid job work out OR sell about 100 copies of DK to get out of any sort of late bills…

Sadly my marketing skills are this

1. Draw a comic
2. Get it printed
3. ???
4. Profit!

…yeah

One thing important to share: there is an ad at the top of the page of eyes. I feel violated, like a perv is peeping through a little slot.

Anyone else feel this way?

I don't get why mactards say Mac's are better for art, i've yet to see one piece of evidence to support this. I've seen plenty of online artists sites put 'made on a mac' proudly at the bottom and their art and color is the same as the rest of the herd. (and many Macs can't run SAi and other art programs)

I guess you could throw the ole' 'no viruses' stick out there, but then today's PC's can be repaired after a virus attack and most serious artists keep their shit on an external harddrive just in case.

Also after a quick google apparently Macs can get viruses (although it's rare), and if they do and the computer is doomed they can't get reformatted once it's over.

I'm guessing the ego inflation comes from the fact that they just spent 3x as much on something that comes in a PC version, and now need to tell themselves and everyone else it's superior to justify the price.

That's what i like about Art though, you can have an ultra expensive Mac, the biggest wacom intuos4 tablet, photoshop CS4+ every other art program out there and you'll still benefit from sketching in your 7$ notepad with a 2$ pencil.

So true. :(
Don't write Macs off completely though, Mac people do tend to get a bit crazy, but they're good machines generally and tend to run pretty well.

I don't know why, but this ad banner, that everyone's always talking about, comes up as a gray box for me. I never see any of those sexy adds you guys tend to praise about.

Like that Batman ad that apparently deserved it's own thread.

I think you have to be in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I'm just getting the mayor of London's attempt to make me ride a bicycle. I love to ride a bicycle, but I can think of better ways to die than being crushed beneath the wheels of an unlicensed minicab.
