I had mine sitting on a towel and it blocked the air vents.….
Why?
cause I brought it to a friends house and he thought it would be safer to put it on a nice soft towel. I didn't even think about it blocking th

There was a thread concerning what folks used to draw on here a while ago. Someone replied Staples A4 cardstock. I started with sketch pad paper, which was good but would shred with inks or erasing. Then I used Bristol board, which is awesome but expensive and I had to hand cut it to size. Just bought and started working on the cardstock and I'm in love. Plus it comes in a package large enough that if I magically never screwed up, it could be a big graphic novel of pages. Thanks to whoever suggested this approach.
i'm uhhhh….scared. alot…couldn't even check my mail.
i saw the movie 'Law Abiding Citizen'. it was a great movie, until the end…they fracked it up. However, before the movie was a trailer. I can stand movies with zombies in them. I can preach away demons and ghosts. Movies with Mass murderers aren't all that scary. but this movie…this movie…had aliens. The Fourth Kind.
I don't know what it is, but aliens inspire some sort of phobia within me. i don't even get this feeling around heights…but i was scared. i still am.
i believe in aliens.

Fuck me running. 45 pages of essay in the last 10 hours. I want to jump off a bridge. I still have all my other coursework to finish for Monday and another 15 pages of this bastard essay to go Why did I think it would be a good idea to wait till the weekend to deal with this?
Wow, so i was being a tard this morning and tried to get a better look at this snake that was just off the side of my porch. It was extremely long which should have been my first warning, but i figure since it looked dumb and didn't notice me i thought i'd poke it with a stick to make it slither away.
Goddamn snake sure showed me, it literally whipped through my legs and under the porch in less than half a second, not even kidding about the time. My cats were with me but didn't even realize the thing was alive; one jumped up 3 feet in the air and bolted when the snake move and the other was like :O for 2 minutes afterwards pawing at every rock and branch on the ground hoping it would move too.
It was a whipsnake which i totally get the name. Besides the coral snake i don't think az has any venomous snakes other than rattlesnakes(and god do we have a crapload of these)

I had a pretty badass day, just all around good since i got my harddrive, a joe mad book, some howto make comics book i dunno if i'll enjoy and my friend and i co-bought 'comic book tattoo' which is insane and awesome mwahaaahaaaa!
Seriously though i cannot believe that huge book is only 30$, i pay more for hardcovers that don't even have 5% of the pages it does. -_-
Ahhhh just a fun day with friends is rewarding enough though
Thanks to whoever suggested this approach.Yer welcomez
(I'm not sure if it was me actually, but I'm always telling people 'cardstock' so it's likely)
I slacked off Friday and spent Saturday doing weekend stuff, which means today I have to make up my Friday work. :[ I've just given myself a 6-day workweek next week! nooooo
Aliens and ghosts scare me… during the night that is. during the day? No problem. It gets dark? No one better mentiones one or the other or else I'll be afraid to go out of my room, heh.

Just finished reading the ENTIRE run of Poison Elves. I still have to go and borrow some of the spin-off minis, but they're not by Drew Hayes so… maybe tomorrow, no hurry.
Anyway, I'm sad because of that. Drew Hayes died two years ago after finishing roughly 100 issues of PE and left the story half finished. Issue #80 (or #100, if you consider that he did 20 selfpublished issues before signing on with Sirius) was published after his death and contained bits of unfinished stories, raw pencils, half-inked pages, script excerpts etc. Basically a bunch of pages showing where he was going to go with it. Including one of the scenes from the very ending.
I wish he had the time to finish it :(
And then I look aruond and see tons of books that are left unfinished by creators who are still alive and well, who don't have to be hospitalized over Sleep Apnea or anything like that, and yet these books remain unfinished, incomplete. I hate that.
I also hate how lazy I've gotten again. Last year I drew 128 pages of comics. This year? 39 pages for my vampire project (all of which will be never used as I'll be redoing it) and 6 pages for the drunkduck comic (wonder how's that thing coming along). That's barely 45 pages!!! Whatever happened to my promise to do more pages this year than the last one… Ehh…
Anyway, back to Poison Elves.
So how was the book? Delicious!
It starts kinda… well, not great. First few issues are fine (if you can overlook somewhat muddy quality, terrible lettering and fuckloads of typos) and this take on fantasy (and Elves in general) is quite different. Imagine an elf who's a thief and an assassin, chronic smoker (seems they have cigarettes in this world) and gets drunk every few issues. But after 12 issues, this big saga starts to form, which goes on until the very end of the book. Around that time art becomes MUCH better and it keeps on evolving until the very end. Writing becomes better, as witnessed by the "illustrated novel" passages inserted into many issues. Sometimes they're used to separate two locations (one place, normal comic, other place, illustrated novel), sometimes they're used to put entire long conversations that otherwise would take an issue or two into a couple of pages. But they're never boring and always well written.
Visually you can see the inspirations: Cerebus, Berni Wrightson and a little bit of manga (you know the tall, mysterious, narrow-eyed bad guy look from 80s anime? that's the Elves' look here I'd say).
So yeah… Loved the book, hated the fact it'll remain unfinished (unless someday comes a creator or a team capable of following through, but I don't know if there could be anyone capable of doing it right).
Heh, rant turned into a review.
Now I have to go run to the friend and return the huge bag of comics, haha.
uh-huh. and when yer on the toilet too.
i had nightmares last night, and when i awoke from them, i was afraid to look around the room! jerk.

Things I learned from playing Enchanted Arms for ten minutes:
1. Gay people have really high pitched voices and speak entirely in innuendoes.
2. Having a supporting character being absolutely perfect in every way and hogs the spotlight to the point that the main character only exists to fuck up and make him look good is brilliant game design.
3. Pizza Golems are the worst idea ever.
4. Constantly mentioning a characters single personality trait is an acceptable substitute for actual characterisation.
5. I am a gullible idiot who was taken in by the mention of a video game with gay themes, which I honestly believed would be interesting and/or progressive or at the very fucking least would have some hot guys in it.
6. Naturally, said themes consist entirely of 'main character has quirky gay stereotype friend'.
7. Yuki is the single most annoying video game character, no, the single most annoying anything ever created ever, no exceptions.
