i am finding it very hard to be monogamous.

i decided a week ago that i will only see one girl who i dumped the psycho girl for. This girl is cute, sweet, and caring. This has all of the signs towards a normal relationship.

then this other girl is texting me all night for a booty call.

I have never seen these, but now I must own one.

I was just starting to get over that loss… Telling myself it wasn't worth it anyway… that I'd get a better custom made one… Agh! Now I feel sorry all over again that I didn't bag the e-bay one ;_;

No matter… I WILL have one made. To go with my Cossack hat!

Yes, it is quite fabulous. Quite! I'm sorry you didn't get it. :(

Usually I get over eBay auctions pretty easily; but every time I lose or don't bid in an auction involving a metallic gold leather biker jacket, I kick myself. For weeks. It's like a damn quest!

i downloaded the halo wars demo last night. It was pretty massive, but all it gives you is 1 map, and 2 tutorials, and 1 campaign map. I found out that i'm not a big fan of rts's on the console….i felt i didnt have enough control, over the entire thing. i wasnt able to create quick groups. i was only able to select the entire force, or those on screen.
also, using a controler for this type of game…even one that was designed specifically for controlers, just isnt natural.
on normal difficulty, i was able to beat the other team on the second try. Pretty much, as soon as i was used to the game, i could kick their butts. which isnt a normal thing for me. it normally takes long time practicing before i can even hold my own with the computer on normal in an rts.

but i'm still a little fan boy, and prolly going to buy it next month. or hopefully i can resist, until the inevitable p.c. release.

I'll be the devil on your shoulder: do it. If you're gut's telling you that you're not ready for monogamy, for Christ's sake listen to it. Otherwise you're only going to end up hurting the "relationship material girl" in the long run.

I rarely watch "music" channels, but sometimes they sucker me in with false promises. Take "Metal Mania" on VH1. I mean, okay- there might have been some people who considered Quiet Riot "metal" before the advent of Thrash. But if you call a show "Metal Mania", I'm expecting to see like, old episodes of "Headbanger's Ball". Not David Lee Roth and Warrant. Grrr.

I started playing a DS game I bought myself called Flower, Sun, Rain and the very first puzzle stumped me. But it was absolutely not my fault- the game booklet lied to me.

You're supposed to enter a 4-digit code (the character's birthday) and the game tells you to look on page 15 of the manual. Page 15 of the manual says to put in any 4-digit number and remember it because you will need it later. So I tried it and kept getting denied. So then I tried my own birthday (because I remembered the DS asks you that) and still was denied…

Eventually I just looked on the internet, and after searching a while, found the page that told me (the other instructions were incorrect) that what the game wants is the birthday I put into the DS, but in DDMM form. Whaaaaat, first it lies to me then it wants my birthday in a nonstandard format.

Ugh. The game better not want any more nonsense puzzle solutions from me.

Wow. So much for comic page production being down.
Thursday, after I got out of school, I didn't have any homework. I told myself, "I'll sit down here, and finish up inking Page 20" since I already did the base inking. And well, I actually finished it. I turned on some Biker Mice from Mars, and actually penciled Page 21.

It was about 8 or so o'clock at night, ON A SCHOOL NIGHT, mind you. And penciled Page 22 as well.

Then, last night, I was able to pencil 3 more pages. 23, 24, and 25.

So now today, I'm going to try and do all the inking for those 5 pages. All up until the detailing. Because I don't really have any more ink in the microns to do detailing.

And after that, I'm going to start making banners for advertising for my comic.

Needless to say, it's going to be a long day.

Also, Conker's Bad Fur Day is a great game.

Dude, story of my life. I run through a 005 every page. Damn crosshatching. I'm like the King of Inefficient Mark-making or something.

Jeez! Just looking at your comic, I can tell yours has a lot more detail. I seem to go through one .005 every 5 pages or so.

This is EXACTLY why I want to get a radiograph. So I can just buy refills.

Have you thought about using quill pens? They're more suited for crosshatching on top of one bottle of india ink will last you 50x longer than a micron. I takes a few weeks to master but most prefer it over flimsy microns anyday.

Yeah, I love working with quills- you can get line variation that's impossible to acheive with the felts! I use 'em a lot for illustration, but with the comic I think the felts are mostly a convenience thing. Also a bit of intimidation on my part- I've thought about switching over to quills and bristol for this comic, but for some reason change is scary to me. I think I'd need to make a mini-comic or something to cure me of my irrational fear of "messing up" first. ;)

I have an entire set of those sitting around somewhere. They're incredibly nice, but oh so easy to damage and you have to refill them more often than you'd buy a new pen with the felt tips but ink is way cheaper than the markers. I destroyed the .003 nib the first time I used them trying to clean the ink out when it got clogged. I haven't used them since because nibs are so expensive for them and I still have boxes of felt tips sitting around.

I've officially decided that my next few updates of Last Words are going to be the story line I promised my readers I would end the series with. I can easily come up with more jokes and ideas, but I don't feel right keeping it going with me being too busy to actually update on a normal schedule any more. I kind of feel a little weird thinking about not drawing the chicles anymore.

Fear of messing up sounds quite rational to me. An irrational fear would be something more like… fear of waffle irons?

Your comic work is exceptional in skillevel so I'm not sure why you'd doubt yourself, but i'm the type that runs headfirst into change since it's a nice mix up from my dull life. I found the cure for 'fear of messing up' is to understand it's not a damning and unforgivable thing-it's a learning experience if you learn to forgive yourself. Or have a dull life.

I have to refine a rather important and boring subject matter essay and I've had since wednesday to do it- yet i've refined only one paragraph so far. It's just sitting in that word document going 'tuch me tuch me! D,:' and i've been doing everything but.

Agreed. I find a good way to combat this is to not plug them in/ charge them up under any circumstances. Their bark is worse than their bite.

Fear of phones isn't irrational either. A phone killed and ate my entire family, also the dog.

I too have a fear of telephones. My friends and family always tease me for my phone skills, because it is so obvious that I want to hang up as soon as possible.
