I think the WowioTV thing was slowed down temporarily by this site upgrade.

They are going to do an event on Saturday though:

We love three things.

Comics, comic creators, and staying UP ALL NIGHT!

So, check out WeVolt.com's around the clock LIVE coverage of 24 Hour Comics Day at Pulp Fiction Comics in Long Beach, Ca.

http://www.ustream.com/wowio[/url

Coverage starts @ 12pm (PST) on Saturday ending @ 12pm (PST) Sunday.

Swing by for LIVE updates from participating comic shops all around the country as well as plenty of comic goodness, comedy, nerdness, and random super hero drop ins.

This is going to be a truly interactive event, so please hang out!

Check out Wevolt.com, DrunkDuck.com, and Wowio.com for exclusive content and updates.

Big thanks to Comicspro.org for powering this wonderful event!

Thanks for the Holla Skool!
Yeah James Riot from The Path and I will be in LBC and we'll be piping in Barry Linck from Phinmagic, and possibly TheJimmy from Been Better.

***If you are doing your own local 24 hour comic, hit me up with a message, I'll see what I can on getting you piped into the stream***

YAY, I'm going to be SOOOOO crazy after about 12 hours!

d00d, LFN buddies was on WowioTV! http://www.ustream.tv/wowio#

Whats this about wowio airing LFN Buddies, because if you mean regular episodes I wanted to go back and edit them in a new format.

Damnit this whole thing is a headache.

Unless you're reassuring me that the pitch video was on, because I already knew that. I'm talking about getting the whole series onto wowio TV and that communicating with them has been difficult (although I know now thats mostly due to the site relaunch)

The best way to get hold of them seems to be to request a skype meeting. :]

I don't do the whole skype thing, mostly because I don't understand it and I don't have a mic or anything. Unless there is some way to communicate with skype via phone?

I feel like I should know this stuff but I don't.

woe is me, this fills me with many remorsess

Well, people can use skype to call phones, although there's a small charge. And some skype users have paid a small fee to get a toll-free number that routes to their skype account. But if you really want to work out some stuff with them, maybe just ask if they can call you at a certain day/time. Sometimes a phone convo is just faster and easier than exchanging emails and crap.

Skype's easy though, free/cheap calls (even to other countries), just need like a headset. It'll even do video chats and desktop sharing now so it's a good collaboration tool.

Has Wowio stopped making their show?
No. It's being renamed and just put on hold shortly while the DD redesign stuff is under-way. There's a lot of work going into it.

I hope so because with all my film projects going on it would be nice to have a place to host them. Specially LFN Buddies, the greatest web series known to man.

I'm not sure they want to just be a host for other people's stuff- I think the idea is to incorporate short videos from DDers as segments of longer videos released weekly (or on some schedule). They might not have room for everything if people submit a lot of stuff, but still I think the videos would be embedded in a larger video, not stand-alone. Which I don't think would be ideal for some cases.

Really youtube would be the best solution if you're looking for video hosting/distribution.
