Ahh, procrastination; a well known friend of mine.
Really knows how to ruin sleep and relaxation. Always tends to bring along stress and anxiety. It's like they're all attached at the hips.

I'm planning on eventually making a comic. I'm in the process of looking for writers. I may actually have found one. For now, I am doing quick, one shot fan arts. I did my first one about 20 minutes ago for the comic "It's a Boy Thing". I was so proud.
-laughs-

-shakes fist at computers-

HAHA, no, I don't think I have said before.

Aaanyway, I was doing my usual searching for comics, and one of them was hosted on DrunkDuck. I didn't really think anything of it, but i accidently hit the 'browse and search' button, and BAM! Oodles and oodles of comics to choose from. The navigation was so easy, and the site was so user friendly. I've been wanting to make a comic for sometime, and this site seemd like the best place to host it. And the community is awesome. So I just ended up sticking around.

What about you? How do you get here?

I wish there was just a greater way to say that. Instead of having crappy huge things at the top of comics, there was something more warm and inviting. I dunno. I'm no web designer (I can hardly fix my page when I break it) but the suggestions there. I'm sure that in five years it'll get used, just like all my great ideas for DD.

Four AM. I've got enough comics for almost all of January. Do I make more? Do I wait until I've almost ran out. I was talking to KC about this when I caught him on the other day. I think being ahead's really nice, but you lose perspective. The whole thing about webcomics is instant gratification, and the more current something is the better then having a safety net for yourself. But without the safety net there, theres always that constant need to come up with something. Sometimes it works out for the best, but then the well goes dry, and you've gotta have a safety net.

What am I even ranting about?

Well ever since I was a kid I wanted to make a webcomic (after reading such oldies but goodies such as: Explotation Now, RPG World, Joshbabes, Penny Arcade, Road Waffles) and I tried keenspace when I was little, but it made no sense to me.

So for years I just made comics on paper and felt silly, showed them to people on the streets and friends I used to have. This was all until about a year and a half ago, I think one of my friends hosted a comic on here and I was like…woah…this is so simple to use! I took advantage of it. My first comics were crap, but the more I realized people read comics here, the more I tried on them. So, I'm still trying to work my way out of a rut.

In short:
I choose DrunkDuck because Keenspace was too complicated and too elite, Smackjeeves I tried for a while but it was waaay too disorganized, and Drunk Duck has the nicest people, so it's really a win win win situation..

Makes sense.

I only just started reading webcomics myself. About a year and a half ago. I think i was 18 anyway..
-shrugs-
EIther way, i haven't stopped since.
-smirks-
I just wish I could draw. Maybe I would have a comic up by now. LOL
But i'm starting an art class in a couple weeks, so maybe that will help me out. Until then it's cheesy little cartoon type stuff that looks like this.

Hey that's really cool though!
That's more of a style than lots of people i've seen.
Cool beans!

I can't wait till next semsester. My first semester of uni helped out my art immensly. Class seems like it's useless until after it's over. I learned a ton. So woo!

My knees hurt

My class is just a local art class until I go back to college. I'm hoping one of my available electives will be an art class. Really learn some new stuff. Cause i can't draw a body if my life depended on it.
-sigh-

Why do your knees hurt?

Bodies are just squiggly lines and cubes on top of each other ^^; Yay for anatomy. I hate it.

My knees hurt 'cause I'm kneeling down and not sitting in a chair right now. >>;;

marine. Make more comics.
Make enough so you never have to make comics again (in a good way).

Would that be depressing, to finally finish a comic…that is.

I don't have the patience for cubes and squiggly lines.
-snorts-

Maybe you should sit on a chair then…
