I don't like being alone!
haha, me too. i post when i get lonely D: lol
Start publishing on
DD Comics!
I post because it gets my banner ad in front of people, which (usually) translates into clicks, which (sometimes) translates into fans, which will (HOPEFULLY) translate into Image giving me a contract when I can show them that the promotional webcomic gets X number of unique visitors per month. ^.^
I do try to keep my mouth shut unless I actually have something to say – I find people who're obviously just pimping their project and have no reason to actually comment in a thread annoying as hell, and would NOT want to be mentally categorized with that group – but the bottom line is, I'd probably stick to IRC for social interraction.
So there you go, full disclosure. ;-)
I post because its fun. While it will eventually get my banner out (haven't made that yet lol). It's fun to talk to the other people on here and get to know the other members of the community, regardless of who makes comics or not.
Those who barely have or dont have a comic are mainly just readers, and I definitely know we can't get enough of them! :D
I've never been much of a forum person, but I post on occasion to give my own thoughts to threads like this one. I'm focusing on at least four comics I'm writing right now to see which ones are even possible to publish, and I'm just checking out the forums to see what other people are saying. Maybe even chip my two cents in the pile.
*looks around a little* I've also noticed the views for my comics go up a little every time I post.
D:<ctughtle, shut up.*El-sigho*I post because of Marine and Cthulu. They're the flavor of the forums. Where would we be without witty sarcasm and links to www.drunkduck.com/penis?Isn't it spelled "Cthulhu"?
She's not the first, and won't be the last to spell my name incorrectly.

Hey, you'd be surprised at how many people've called me Ouff, so don't even start! >:0
I had a forum with my friends (real friends). I have a DD web comic. My forum died soon after I joined DD. I tried here. I liked it.
I keep on thinking I'll spend less time here, and so far I have stopped posting in TD, because of the commitment, although it was fun while I did it. I also made a new forum for me and my friends, so I will post less.
I should post less.
Bye.
Pretty much I post in the forums because I write just like compulsive artists sketch. When I get tired of forum writing I skip back to a pure chatroom site I know about wherein anything goes, but the writer is also expected to be able to really, really write.
Still, since I upload a new strip every day I guess that my forum input is fairly evenly balanced between my strip and this stuff. I stumbled across a formula that lets me put a new strip up, from thought concept to upload, in as little time as a couple of hours. Since it's the concept work that takes the time, if I have a nice backlog of established concepts or gags, I can get a strip done and uploaded in under an hour.
On the other hand, while I am doing other work on the computer I can pause and pound out a forum entry in no time flat. So I guess it does even out.
