Yeah, like there are some people who just sort of life off of the forums, like they barely have a comic, and yet they have like 2000 posts or more.

Then there are others, who are balanced between the forums and the comics.

Finally, there are users who just ignore the forums a lot, and focus mainly on the comic thing.

So what I'm trying to say is, do you live off the forums, are you balanced, or are you just a comic-oriented person? Is there a specific reason that you post in any part of the forums?

I post because I think the thread is cooler, or "smarter" than some of the other threads. I do admit, though, that I was in the forum games section.

I post when I feel I can contribute something. And sometimes I feel like being social, you know, without really being social.

Also, I like to give my support to all the great artists and writers around here too. They're awesome, and it's neat to see what they have to say.

I post on forums for a few reasons. I don't really leave the house much, so I'm always around here. I like Drunk Duck, its a nice place. I post for advertisements, the social aspect of it, and sometimes I post to further the community political system. Without me around, some other guy would move in and try and do what I do, I discourage bad posters and can on occasion contribute some decent ideas (like the current system of featured comics, the top ten lists on the front page) Its rare that administrators can admit it, but its true.

I post on the forums rarely-to-never. Threads are only interesting if there's already discussion going on, however if the discussions are interesting, they're usually hard to enter. To employ a hideously overused phrase, it's a vicious cycle. So I seldom post, and as a result, no one knows who I am and about three people read my comic.

I balance it.

I actually here for a very selfish reason: promoting my comic through the masses. I don't know, I keep thinkin' that if I post enough, more people will come by my comic.

But the "social" interaction is nice.

I post to compensate for the fact I am not an artist and don't enjoy comics.

I post because of Marine and Cthulu. They're the flavor of the forums. Where would we be without witty sarcasm and links to www.drunkduck.com/penis?

Don't give that alternate moron a chance to post.

And yeah, Marine is the king of drunkduck. Sorry Oz. ;)

a) It's fun - there are people here who do the same thing I do, so we have something in common, and it's nice to be able to talk about it. I don't know anyone who does comics in real life.

b) To plug Bulletproof. I'm not gonna lie. Being prolific here helps. But I wouldn't post here if it wasn't fun.

I don't think the forums help get you more readers.

I do think the forums help get you more readers who comment.

Which is cool.
