Anyone do comiccons?
There are two going on that are pretty close to me one weekend apart.
http://www.independentcreatorsconnection.com/…/icc-convent…/
http://tampabaycomiccon.com/
Was going to the one in Orlando, but my finances might not support that.
The one in Tampa is right across the bay. Any of you folks going to either?
On a side note: Can I just go to one of these and wing it - or - is there some sort of etiquette (or rules) I should know about?
Start publishing on
DD Comics!
Conventions ?
I am going to New York comic con this Thursday the 7th. I know there are a few DD folks out there who live in the tri-state area, as I do. Is anyone else going? I usually spend all my time in “artists’ alley,” where all the indie artists have their stuff. The mainstream publishers on the main floor don’t interest me at all.

Just an idea.
@lothar: I don’t know what the rules are with other cons, but I didn’t see any specific requirement with NYCC. @bravo: that’s a good idea! I know there are a few ducks out here in the tri-state area. Maybe go to the convention and have a beer afterward. I’ll bring that up around June next year, as that is when the tickets go on sale.
@ironscarf: Back in the 90s, I went to Angouleme, France a few times, as that was the biggest comic convention in Europe at the time (maybe it still is). The time when I could afford such extravagances is long gone, however. These days I pretty much limit myself to New York comic con, which is about a 30 minute bike ride from my apartment.
I just got accepted to have a virtual table at Diversity comic con It's a virtual comic convention being hosted out of New York, but people from all over the world will have virtual tables there. It's this Saturday, October 16. I will be staffing my "table" in the virtual artist alley from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm EST.
Come by and chat, if you have time. It's being hosted through Kumospace. Attendance is free.
If anyone living in the New York City area is planning on going to Brooklyn Comic Con this weekend, I will be there selling printed copies of Mindfold and Tusk. My table is 3V.
Come by and say hello!
