Just something that often makes me go "hmmmmm" is in a typical mirror universe where bad guys are good, good guys are bad, true neutral are bland oatmeal I often love the idea that a genre savvy character goes to seek out the "villain" because they have to be logically be the exact opposite. Only to find out something…

Their villain IS the good one, and the mirror universe is so much, much worse.

Star Trek : DS9 did that with the mirror universe. You thought the Terran Empire was bad here comes the thing that replaced and subjugated the humans–
