This is probably in COMPLETELY the wrong thread, so I'm sure it we be abruptly shifted but none the less… Anybody know of any other New Zealanders in the community here? I'm trying to build up a bit of a network of local artists and fans for the purposes of shameless self promotion!

Actually, I'm a kiwi too. Wow, didn't realise Art School Sub Rosa was drawn by another kiwi. :)

Nice to see a few others from our little islands.

Similar to that with Canadians and Americans.

New Zealanders used to be assumed to be from Australia because the accents are similar but Australia was more well known and there are more of us about. That rightly annoyed New Zealanders a bit, but Australians didn't mind because it meant we could claim all their achievements and international celebrities as well as our own.

New Zealanders resented various things about Australia, but most Australians couldn't care less or even realise that they did. :)

That's changed a lot now. N-Zeders stand out on their own now mostly.

That nails it fairly well I think.

New Zealand is like that mad, weedy little man in a barfight who goes straight for the toothless biker with half a pinkie. We think we're three feet and 40kg bigger than we are and have the luck to get away with it sometimes.

Until that odd time we beat Australia at cricket or rugby. :)

I nearly was decapitated once when I told a NZ chick that NZ accent sounded much like Australian to me. Then I heard that Connor guy on Ugly Betty and he didn't sound like doctor Chase from House M.D. at all:D

Kiwi's have Peter Jackson and can lay claim to the all the exteriors for Lord of the Rings. Then there's Xena and Hercules being filmed there and a lot of the extras/guest stars being Kiwis. And then Lucy Lawless. That's enough for me.

In armor model-building circles Aussies and Kiwis are prominant, both having more worth-while websites than US modelers. What armor modeler doesn't know Kiwis under Armour?

So there's at least 3 of us here! Wicked cool! Where are you guys based? I'm stuck here in Hawkes Bay, kinda missing slightly bigger city life and the energy that goes with it.

It's true that the Ozone is pretty flimsy… but our BROzone is massive!

I don't even know what that means but it seemed silly enough to post

You'll get sunburn and skin cancer quicker here than almost anywhere else in the world. :| Someone make an SPF +500 please.

I'm part of the 50% of the New Zealand population that lives in Auckland. Oh the shame. If it redeems me any, I'd rather live in Kataia.

Must be cool to see the FotC duo around locally. Perhaps I should move to the capital after all.

Yeah, my boss here used to be in a band with Brett back in school… I think it's kinda funny the buzz about them here because they're Kiwi's making it in the states.

Surely the buzz should be because they're amazingly talented, international success or not!

And SPEAKING of amazingly talented I just got my new comic up online… or at least the cover page and page 1… Speaking of Kiwi's being here and all… was that cheeky enough? I'm going to get locked and told off aren't I?

IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!!
