I'm unhappy, Rudd is more difficult to draw that Howard, nerd
WTF? he looks exactly the same! ..Well he's not bald yet and his eyebrows are thinner, but he's just Howard MkII. In fact, Kevin looks just as nerdy as John. :)

Jurbus, that "warm fuzzy feeling" is oxygen depletion from your brain due to blood loss. ^_^

Hahaha, Randal, we call them "Yanks", it's the shortened version, but it's close enough :D

I can't wait for Christmas. An Aussie Christmas is the greatest thing in the world.

It's normally held somewhere outdoors with a large group of people.
Normally there is a large amount of water somewhere such as the beach or a pool.
Most people have a cold meal for lunch and dinner(cold meat and salad in my family)

Breakfast is sometimes a warm meal(but we no longer have bacon and eggs coz my little brother nearly choked one christmas)

Anyone wanna care to add on to that?

I'd like a snowy Chrissy just for once…

Warm ones are nice, but the STINKING hot ones are a nightmare.

I actually spend Christmas indoors now but I used to have it on a beach. The problem was the flies loved turkey.

I prefer roast lamb, turkey's a bit gamey. Funnily not even my cats like turkey…
I can't stand pork either.

You lucky so and so!

It was 44.4 on Boxing day, Jebus! Following Randal's fine lead, I can say that's about 112 degrees Fahrenheit. …I looked that up on a converter

I don't like it when it's hot like that. I just DON'T!

I'm from SE Queensland and Christmas Day was quite pleasant here (29c) :D Which was a nice change from the stinking hot Christmases we've had the past few years.

Australia Dayis coming up, and of course the Lamb ads have started!

I Think Lamb is the only meat that gets advertised in Australia without having a brand attatched, actually I think it's the only food advertised without one.

anyways anyone got good plans for Australia Day?

I'm Australian. I live in Sydney.

I'm annoyed because I can't make fun of the new government because they haven't screwed up yet. I've got too many Howard jokes.

On Australia Day, I'm going to celebrate Australian values by finding some random family, taking their land, stealing their children, trashing their culture, and never apologising.

lol! Join the colonialism club…
Sounds nice and righteous, buuuutt, it's tricky to name a country where some culture hasn't done that to another.

The thing is to deal with living in a post colonial world as best you can. ;)

Australia Day or Invasion Day?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for moving forward. I just believe it's hard to move forward when our history is 'whitewashed'. There was a long, drawn-out war in this country, a war just as tragic and voilent as the displacement of the native americans. Our native people aren't even acknowledged for putting up a damn good fight (which they did), instead they are treated as if they were timid primitives who simply gave in.
No wonder young Coories are so angry.
No Australian Govt can ever acknowledge the black wars, nor say Sorry though, the legal implications that opens up… (phew)
Technically Australia was uninhabited at the time of 'conquest'…
Mind you, the British royal family has never signed our constitution either, so technically our entire government in an illegal entity by international law.
