I can't update a comic. After I fill everything and "upload", it brings me back to the "comic pages" section on my account, but there is no new pages.
I've just done several tests and it worked fine, but slowly.

I was able to upload new pages, edit them and delete them.

Perhaps it was due to the form timing out before it could finish processing? The site is going through periods of superslowness and timeouts still on occasion. Maybe try again?

I'm unable to view any of the comics I've updated since the issues arrived. I can upload it, but I can't see it.

Doesn't seem to be able to get onto 'My Account' page. I click on it, then an error message appears.

The site is so slow it takes forever for a comment to post or a page to change forward or backward. Took about 2 minutes for this Reply panel to come up.

The site should be running a bit faster now, in particular the comic pages. We've maxed out the number of allowed simultaneous connections, which normally would affect the server's memory, but it doesn't seem to be using much at the moment, so it should be okay.

DD :

The site is still way, way, way too slow. I have a very high speed internet connection for trading stocks so my connection is not the issue. I also use Firefox to connect. But it is still much too slow. I expected an order of magnitude increase in surfing speed around the site. It was much better before this server move. Speed has gotten much worse.

I know the Wowio boys are working on this. The problem is everybody is used to surfing speeds on Amazon and Ebay. I'm hoping we can get to that.

Okay, things seem to mostly be back to normal. Still a bit lacking in the speed department, but acceptable for now. There's also the odd logging out problem, always picking the worst possible time to do so (like right as I hit the reply button for instance :P). I just noticed, though, that I cannot re-upload comics, say if I'm correcting a mistake made in a comic I have already posted. It just keeps displaying the old version of said comic.

Other than the above issues, things seem to be more or less back in order as far as I can see, though. :)

I'l report it since there are so many of you with this issue.

I am able to upload with no problem though so I wonder what's going on?

Drunkduck looks like a DVD shop with that there ad.

I wanted to open up Internet Explorer and get a look at the site without adblock to see what people were talking about, but no images will load. All I see is one 160x160 flash ad with localized cable tv and bank adverts.

That's the error IE spat up.

That would depend on you definition of OK, it is still running slower that Windows 3.11 booted. I understand maxing a server memory slowing down response time however if the site isn't optimized it will be slow with or without a server load. How much bandwidth does it take for all these ads? I might be willing to pay a small monthly fee to see the site ad free and running faster.

Just thought it would be worth mentioning - I was able to upload an update for my comic just fine. No interruptions, and the image showed up.

One thing that I've noticed is that during what I assume to be peak times (around 1pm PST for me) pretty much everything takes a while to load. I mean everything from general page loads to the images on the site. And then during the evening hours, it's the fastest I've ever seen it. It's been consistently like this for me for the past three or four days.

Before the move I never experienced such a shift in load times. I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff, but is this because the server is taking on not only high traffic but changes to it as well? Otherwise, this might be something worth looking into.

Not sure if this particular error has been reported, but it seems there are still some problems with A-D comics.

Archive pages for A-D comics can't be changed with a new page, it still loads the same old one. Adding a NEW page and changing that works but not any pages added before the server move.

Got booted again came from splash page to read Are we back to normal yet, followed the link to read this thread and was not signed in, again, signed in came back to a page that had the Forum page layout but no forum, so came in the long way again.
Site still slow as well.

When I click any link on this website (drunkduck.com) why is it that it takes 10 seconds or more before the page loading commences?

I noticed some slowness over the weekend too, and had some messages. I've sent an email to them with all the stuff you've just reported. Thanks, some of that detail will hopefully be useful.

Now it's been a full week… I'm still unable to upload new pages, or update old pages on my comic, Age of the Elements, it was a very new comic when the server move started (I started it on the third of the month) and it only has 4 pages that aren't broken (the ones uploaded before the server move). Now I have 3 broken pages…

I've sent your info along to them. I'm not sure why some people are able to update their comics and others aren't… the best we can do right now is keep reporting them and hope they determine the root cause.

for the people who are unable to upload pages to their comics, please try again. They think they have solved the issue.

T_T Nope, still unable to upload any images. On the comic homepage, I right-click on the broken image icon, and click on 'view image' I get taken to the text below.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [no address given] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.4-2ubuntu5.6 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at comics.drunkduck.com Port 80

If you need the address of the comic homepage, it is http://www.drunkduck.com/Age_of_the_Elements/

The address of the actual image is http://comics.drunkduck.com/Age_of_the_Elements/pages/48023352b6c0663121adc72a6ae5e178.png

I wonder if there's any issues with the file permissions, although then it probably would be showing a 403 forbidden error…

I'm still getting logged out, having moments where no images will display, incredibly long load times, and about 9 out of 10 times the main page will completely fail to load (icons are all over, half don't even appear, fonts change, etc). Oh and since the thumbnail thing, I cannot get the roll-over descriptions to load.

Everything Lefarce just said, except for the comic descriptions, these work just fine for me. Site crashes most of the time I post in forums, but the messages still appear, it just take too long to load.
