I don't comment often, and that muted one was from Tater Salad after a comment I made on a fake sprite comic pointing out the BETTER sprite comics on the net and PROVING that sprite comics isn't a completely bad genre. Tater muted it and called me "fag."

I don't mean to start a war here, but I just have to say that there is no way to prove a genre of art style is good or bad or whatever at all. All I'm trying to say is art is art is art is art is art and people have their own opinions, just because one person thinks one thing doesn't mean that because they state said opinion everyone else will subsiquently follow.

It's a form of self-expression no matter how much time is spent on it or what form it's in.

and no that's not a comment on sprites or cgi or real media or anything else. just saying it's just art.

Better question…

How many comments where you actually type something in, and not just a 5 dump.

That's a better question.

Maybe 20 of mine have not had a comment on it. I only do that when I KNOW a comic is quality, and I'm really lazy personally.

Lately most of mine haven't even had a number by it. Just a comment on the comic.

How many comments where you actually type something in, and not just a 5 dump.

That's a better question.

I'd say 10% of the time I have nothing to say

and another 10%-15% I just do a brief acknowledgement along the lines of
yes, I enjoyed that
or
I found that to be cool

But lately I've been trying to make my comments sound deeper :)

I pretty much never vote. I just comment.

The only time I vote is either on a comic posted in my review thread, or when I run across a random comic to apply one of my few non-review votes. This is usually coupled with a mini-review of sorts I guess. I always justify my scoring.

I've not given a five yet.

I truly admire that. As much as I enjoy looking for reasons to give high scores, it's always much more valuable when someone like you gives an honest appraisal of what needs to be worked on.

Certainly not, maybe to be nice, but definately not if I was giving a critique.

I have 2 reported comments, but it's because I made the same post like 4 times by accident so I reported it myself.

Most of the muted comments are ones that pissed off spriters.

It's actually closer to 3000. I accidentally spammed Hie Qwalitie with 900 comments using a proxy, so it is very close to 3000.

I used to comment a lot more (I once held the coveted 'most comments' award (we also used to have awards)), but these days I don't like to comment without knowing the story to some degree, and with school and all…

The one muted comment comes from Tony the Hedgehog, because me and LeFarce wouldn't leave the poor kid alone about how terrible his comic was, and he didn't want an argument on his front page.

I have, however, made my share of reports and mutes to comments on my site; generally only to people who put plugs or something along those lines on my site. I try not to report people who just have criticisms, but there are exceptions to every rule…

I haven't made any comments in the last 4 or 5 months… I have done a few just just today though.
They're ALL %100 comments, with zero "5 dumps".
-as far as I know.
They're actually almost zero 5's funilly enough. Out of all my comment only about 20 at most would have votes I'd say.

~.~ I don't comment that often…and when I do, it's with full statements. I don't leave any rating drops.

The four I got muted happened when I first started on DD, and someone was kinda borrowing a few ideas from my comic without really mentioning it to me. When I commented on her site about it, she decided to mute me. I wonder how she's doing now? Oh well. ^^ That means that 343 times, my comments have been "Okay"
