I Hate This New Forum
I used to drink Cherry Coke, and then my store ran out of it, so I had to start drinking cherry pepsi. Pepsi sucks majorly, but after awhile I relized that Cherry Pepsi kicks cherry cola ass… so uh….wow did I have a point other than cherry cola rocks ur mom? no don't think so….
I do not hate the forums but I am here to submit a suggested change:

Cherry Pepsi is pretty good. I used to love vanilla coke and then they stopped making it and started making CHERRY vanilla coke which I soon realized tasted exactly like regular vanilla coke. Umm… I guess there is a metaphore or something in there.
The new forum feels more cozy. Like we're all in a crowded room. Who wants to snuggle?

I just wish my gripe would be addressed now.Lots of folks have mentioned this, I even mentioned it when we admins had access to the beta version (ha ha yes we knew forums were coming ages ago!). I imagine it's kind of difficult. I was thinking about it today and wondering how they would differentiate between when someone logs onto DD now versus checking the forums… just 'cos you go onto DD to check your comments doesn't mean you want to check the forums, but you don't want to check the forums later and have missed 'new' posts because you didn't check the forums earlier… (does that make sense?) Maybe it's a special cookie thing…

yeah when you put it that way gray doesn't sound to bad at all.
my comment about the right panel hasn't still been addressed…
I don't want that right panel there at all…. if I wanted to know whenever my favorites were getting updated, I'd use the Drunk duck alerter for that. and plus it's still annoying to see it there with asterisks next to the updated comics that I've already checked out and don't need to check again for updates since there was no more updates ever since I viewed it today.
and plus, it's what makes the forums look so crowded, and pushed to one side as if the forums was only an afterthought.
have the right panel on any page EXPECT the forums!
and at least, if you're not gonna remove it competely then at least give us an opition to remove/and or hide the right panel if we wish when we visit the fourms.
Or even better. You know how you can click that little 'i wana c more' buttons on the recently most updated? Just apply the similiar theory to the favorites section everywhere. That way it doesn't show up at all until you click the little 'i wana c more' button.
EDIT: And we want giant enemy crabs too.

oh by the way? "Next 20" links or such simlar links to get us to the next pages is really misleading. when seeing that they might think the next 20 pages, and not the next 20 comments. shouldn't that be "next page" and "last page"?

I second that since the most recent posts are always on the last page and when you click the topic you go to the first page and have to type in the last page number/hit enter to go there unless you dont realize that and click next 20 6 or 7 times (99 if its an enormous monster like the avatar game..)

oh yeah! I don't think the adimins realize how much it's taking the fun out of the forum pages with the 100 pages and such when we have to click and click to get to the last page. :(
I haven't been to the Avatar game for a looongg while.
Next person who is impolite about changes they want made gets a slap from me. Volte is a guy just trying to do his best; not your personal lapdog here to fix your evey little bitchy point and take crap at the same time.
