I agree with Salsa, the CG one was ok (when Anakan and his apprentice were off screen) The Animated was awesome! The bike jousting was kick ass, and Grievous kicked some serious ass!

Cool. I don't remember if you've ever played DD Mafia, so I'll just say Welcome to one of the craziest games here on the Duck.

Weeeee! More death and stuffs!

But speaking of General Grievous, he kicked serious ass in the animated series. But the series itself was kinda stupid, like I saw one episode in which Aniken was obsessed with r2-d2, even risking the entire rebel force to try and rescue it. It was stupid, and slightly creepy.

Actually, that fits very well with his character. Thanks to his early separation from his mother, he has a deep fear of loosing those he gets emotionally attached to. The dangers of being a force user is to let emotions get the best of you, since this act seems to corrupt you somehow. Now the stupid thing is that Obi Wan should have been able to spot this behavior of his as a major warning sign and pull him out of service for… whatever Jedi do, when they see a force-user brushing uncomfortably close with the dark side. Then again the war was distracting the Jedi council and forced them to pay far less attention to the training of Anakin then they otherwise would have.

Of course the fundamental flaw of the Jedi order was that they thought that the best way to protect themselves from all negative feelings was to forbid ALL forms of feelings. This is what forced Anakin to enter a secret marriage with Padme which caused him to hide critical things about his life from Obi-Wan. This forced him to deal with his worries in solitude, when he had clairvoyant dreams about the death of his wife (which he also had before he lost his mother). Tie this with the fact that Anakin was in Palpatine's radar, he was able to notice it when he was troubled and entice him by telling him exactly what he wanted to hear followed by the usual bla, bla, "lure of the dark side" bla, bla.

Sorry. I'm a big story geek who likes to analyze stories.

Personally, I found the whole 3-D animation to be a giant load of crock. The older animated series were pretty solid though.

WARNING! The following is a nerdy interlude into the series of events depicted above.
Anakin was obsessed with getting back R2 because he had vital information with regards to the Republic's deployment, numbers, missions, and other such vital data which in the hands of the separatists and Grievous would have crippled the Republics war effort.

This is what forced Anakin to enter a secret marriage with Padme which caused him to hide critical things about his life from Obi-Wan
Actually, Obi-Wan was, to an extent, aware that there was something between Anakin and Padme, but Obi-Wan never thought much of it because he too had fallen in love as a padawan. In fact, he actually forsaken the jedi order temporarily for the girl, but Obi-Wan came back (and Qui-Gon decided to keep his little quitting a secret).

Jninja beat me to the punch on that one. (That was one of two episodes I saw of the new series and was underwhelmed to say the least)

Off topic random change of topic:
This is an idea I had and posted last night. I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in helping. The idea, in case you want to avoid reading the wall of text, is to provide bad and good examples of how to do things in comics in general and webcomics specifically. I am hoping to avoid some of the problems that the original had, such as repetition of topics and being rather unhelpful in the later examples.

The entry for the AT-ST in the ultimate vehicles book has a quote from a supposed operations manual. It basically says that AT-ST's will no longer be deployed on planets where furry little primitives live in trees.

-stares blankly at the discussion-

Sorry not a starwars fan. Anyway, onto business.

When the teams are created, do you A. Want the teams to remain secret. Such as who's Crimson, and Who's Obsidian. Or do you want them just posted with a list of who is on which team, Your roles remaining secret.
I'm asking this, because as it works, both sides are like the mafia, and know who their team is. So you'll prettymuch know whoever isn't on the list that is your team, is obviously your enemy.

If that makes any sense.

Also, when it comes to the narrations. Do you want names, or no. I ask this again, because of the grid system, you can pretty much clear out of somewhere if you really need to. People can't direct target you even if your name is revealed.

just a few questions. Give me which way you would prefer.

With regard to the teams, might as well post them since like you said, we will know who is with us and thus who isn't. With the clues, it can go ether way. On one hand, no names is kinda pointless, on the other, it can give clue solving practice to some people (my self included… I am iffy at it)

I agree with Jninja on the list thing. As for the names. I'd say go ahead and post the names since we can't attack each other directly.

I agree with Same about agreeing with Salsa with regards to agreeing to Jninja

Bah. When the hell are we starting? I'm getting tired of those over week long sign up threads that we have to sit through, before the game finally starts. You don't need 20 players, you know?

Also, changing my avatar again. Got inspired after checking out Rokulily's latest comic.

Yes, that's right! I was the con-ninja.
