I think the idea was the group was looking to do a cosplay sketch based on characters nobody ever dressed up as. I can't say I had ever seen any Macross cosplayers (at least not from the original series) before that year.

I'm trying to find a nice place to play Chess online. Something about Chess feels dorky.

Beating up people who slag off Pokemon. And a frequent quoting of internet meme and 'lol'.

SO I HEARD YOU LIEK MUDKIPS? DO A BARREL ROLL! SHOOP DA WHOOP! GRINMAN LIEKS TO GRIN! BECOME AN HERO!

I think the nerdiest thing I've done is dress up as Britai from Macross (complete with blue face paint and tin foil on my head) and get up on stage to lip-sync "Oh, better far to live and die" redubbed so that "Pirate King" was replaced with "Zentradi."

Yeah, maybe playing Chess isn't so dorky. Hell, playing final fantasy sounds less nerdy then dressing up as a Robotech villian and singing in front of people.

Hmmm, there are some pretty nerdy things here. How about this:
It was middle school. I'm walking to the bathroom when I slip, in a hall full of people, in a puddle of water. So, with everyone in the hall laughing, I start to walk away, when I slip AGAIN! The people started laughing even HARDER!!!
Actually, that was more mentally scarring the nerdy…Wasn't funny then, but it's funny now.

Don't know if it was the first game to use it, but the one best known for the code was Contra on the NES. Konami used the code in several games after it, as well.

I quote "Adventure Time" a lot… ("Rhombus!" "My hat is AWESOME!" "*various crying rainicorn noises*" )
in case you're uninitiated but curious:

Also, I listened to the Japanese version of the pokemon intro yesterday for two hours straight.
(and a large sector of my childhood was spent listening to the 2BA Master CD…)
Sometimes I talk to people in Sim language. And I have an unnatural internet addiction.
Oh yeah, my giant manga collection is pretty indicative of my nerdiness.

OMG and yesterday at my astronomy lecture, the professor said something about gravitation and I was like "YESSS SHUICHI AND YUKI FOREVERRR!" and wished I could alter the fabric of the universe to make him actually be referring to the comic…
