I like the blending of drawn characters with CG background here–the two actually go together nicely. I also like the backlighting in the 2nd panel (and all of the colors look great). Very nice looking page. Also, the dialogue reads well.

In Fusion, folks get an explanation of how X-Pletive's powers work. That's at http://www.drunkduck.com/Essay_Bee_Comics_Presents_Fusion/index.php?p=802811

Nice explosion, Putrid.

At CROSSOVERKILL at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverkill/index.php?p=802731 we continue filler week with some conceptual art by Xmung of MAGELLAN with a look at some of the bad guys he's created for our baddies, the Doppelganger Gang.—Al

This are some pretty designs. The text about the cute manga girl made me chuckle as she looks psychotic in both pictures.

Over in Underbelly Frank gets eaten. Really, he gets eaten whole. Question is does the demon spit or swallow.

UNDERBELLY: Now THAT's a mouthful! Nice effects.

In CROSSOVERKILL, we continue our filler week with conceptual art about the Doppelganger Gang, the heroes' opponents, this time concentrating on the contributions of the RedDeath, who does BAD GUY HIGH. That's at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverkill/index.php?p=802913. —Al

CROSSOVERKILL can rightfully boast of some very professional-looking characters. I definitely prefer Eruption's new footwear :)

In Cat's Tale, we have - finally - the first glimpse of the kittens.

UnderbellyOh…nice one Frank, now that's one grotesque page (in a good way)!

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates and well…Patches might be in trouble soon!

Have I ever mentioned I love the shading/crosshatching of CHRONICLES OF WYRDEN? I confess I have a preference for color comics, which is why it takes a LOT for a black and white comic to impress me—but WYRDEN always does.

At CROSSOVERKILL, more conceptual art, as you get hints why the heroes' opponents are called the Doppelganger Gang. That's at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverkill/index.php?p=803240–Al

@Crossoverkill: I'm actually impressed by some of the little details put into the the character designs (I'll confess I don't know all of the characters names as I haven't had time to read through the entire comic yet save for the last few pages). The "monkish" style of the first guys hair kind of suggests that he has a mastery of his spellcraft (i.e., very experienced and knows what he's doing with it), rather than just being some young prodigical wizard, which I find refreshingly more realistic. The gunner's outfit is sleek and stylish, and the way those pistols connect to the suit remind me (fondly) of the old-school Nintendo flash-gun games (Duckhunt especially).

On All Saints, several months after the second virus outbreak (or one week if you're the reader), another case of worldwide dormancy, which will likely make monitoring and controlling further spread a lot more difficult.

You summed up the page perfectly, I have little to add to it, but it's a funny take on prophecy.

Malefic: Poser programs take a lot of work to get used to, so the fact that you're getting better with it in such a short amount of time is pretty outstanding.

@Obsessivity - interesting premise for a story. Cannot really make a fair comment since its less than 50 pages.

@Genejoke - Um, after seeing that horrific…thing, as well as Mother's face, I don't think it's one she can keep D:. Oh well, in dire situations, parents often have to tell white lies, right?

For Ni Shuo Zhongwen Ma? :

I will never be able to look at footballers partying the same way again! But I also want to say how much I like the feel and style you've chosen for this very innovative comic :)

That is an awesome page, the shot with the gun on the floor is simple but really well done. I haven't read all of this but whenever I do the pages are pretty impressive and in light of liking brave resistance so far I really should raid your archives.

Malefic has updated again and we get some demon bashing, literally.

Also Lite bites has updated and it's the final page of Shastabs Madam's night out.

Edit as it has been quiet here and no one commented.

Malefic, what goes up must come down… hard.

Underbelly and lite bites have also updated.

Project GTH updates today, Lucy jumps into action

Posted at

Project GTH: yep, she's crazy. Pretty art, though…

In CROSSOVERKILL, actually two updates: a beautiful cover for the second chapter was uploaded late Friday, with pencil/inks by the RedDeath of BAD GUY HIGH and coloring by Neil of DASIEN, at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverkill/index.php?p=803764 and today, the first page of the chapter, as we get a glimpse of what Yuuki has been doing, also by Neil of DASIEN. That's at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverkill/index.php?p=803764!

Mindmistress. I love the line, "I'm not an idiot I've sen…" good way of conveying the estra reality elements of the story with the acid trip colour scheme. Also is that spike from buffy in the first panel?

Malefic updated today. We start to see the aftermath of the action… to be fair it isn't the most complete page as it's very transitional.
